Title: Labor is just as bad as the Coalition.
Post by TheGreenLight on Jul 22nd, 2013 at 1:15am
I've had it with Labor. I've been a solid Labor voter all of my life. I have voted for the Coalition before, a couple of times in the 70s and 2004, but I've voted Labor the vast majority of the time, as I believe that they have the best health and education policies, and also are a much more compassionate and humanitarian party than the Coalition. However, now, after criticising the Howard government's inhumane treatment of refugees, they have gone and done the same thing. They are no better. In fact, if anything, they're worse, because they've proven themselves to be nothing but hypocrites over the matter. I am so disappointed to see that other Labor supporters aren't up in arms about it, that also makes you hypocritical. My hope is that there is another hung Parliament this year, and to be honest, I don't give a flying bugger about who wins. Both parties are now bad as each other, and neither deserves government. I won't be voting, what's the point when the major parties are indistinguishable these days?

The only way they are distinguishable is that one party is more negative than the other. Oh and 1 is more reckless ATM. These are not so much policy differences though.

SOB

his year, and to be honest, I don't give a flying bugger about who wins. Both parties are now bad as each other, and neither deserves government. I won't be voting, what's the pme too... judging by what we see on here they are overjoyed, and then try to blame the Libs.. as they always do.. sad.. this is neither humanitarian or Australian.that also makes you hypocritical. My hope is that there is another hung Parliament toint when the major parties are indistinguishable these days?

seeing the mess we are in I am surprised you want to go through it all again..I am convinced a hung parliament is the LAST THING WE NEED..mudd..ooops rudd is now busy undoing what was done in 3 years with the same parties blessings.. as well as trying to cover up what he did in 2008..with something that is so unbelievable its hard to comprehend really... but look how smug he looks..

just goes to show what he really is like

Labor is now centre right and Libs are far right, basically the same, but Labor are an itsy bitsy less dangerous than the Libs, that's all they've got going for them.

For those who can't bring themselves to vote for one of the major parties, remember that you can still vote below the line and it's crucial that you do.

the libs have never contemplated sending aussie problems to a poor dangerous country pansi..

so if you call that more dangerous than the lefties you need to take another look..

I am less than happy with the libs thats for sure.. this paid matern ity leave pings me off no end..but at the end of the day.. I have never seen so much disarray in this country as we have had for the past 6 years.. and on top of that we have a jinormous Debt and now we are giving billions to a corrupt nation... in the hope they will assimilate dysfunctional boat people.

.if you dont think they are dysfunctional... take a good look at NAURU... which is another $60million down the drain..

this govt sure likes seeing our money go bloody nowhere.

And when you combine the ALP with the Coalition they are nowhere near as stupid as the Greens.

Because neither party deserves total power.

No, they're not. They're as bad as each other now, no difference at all. Labor is far more right than the Libs were in the 70s. The Greens are a good party but some of their policy ideals could be excused as written by a 5 year old. They're nice and humanitarian, but sometimes you wonder if they're living in the real world, and not some kind of paradise utopia. I'm staying home on election day.
