Title: Taking the Union Jack home.
Post by Jasignature on Jul 27th, 2013 at 6:04pm
Prince William, when King - WILL be removing the Union Jack from the Australian Flag officially and declaring Australia 'Politically Independent' (or in Laymans: "You're on your own - you Dole Bludgers!").

...the nations of the World are gathering like Wolves.

A word of advice from Douglas Adams to Australia:
DONT' PANIC   ;D

I don't think anyone in the Royal family would be game to call people out on "welfare" ... since they are the kings and queens of freeloaders...

I think you get the drift, more than just the subject of 'welfare'. ;)

And I'm sure he'll do the same thing to the other 13 or so nations and states that also have the Union Jack on their flags..

They also work pretty hard, the Queen most of all, at an age where most people would be at least 20 years into their retirement.

She walks from her car or plane, says a few words, accepts a few curtsies and walks back to her vehicle. Most people her age should do that little bit  of walking on a regular basis to keep them fit, but it's more about breathing than work.

The royals don't work like us commoners work, there's two entirely different meanings to the word 'work' there.

Do you like ANYTHING to do with tradition????

Title: Re: Taking the Union Jack home.
Post by Jasignature on Jul 28th, 2013 at 9:29am
Tradition is another facet of 'predictability' ...much like the outcomes in Rugby Union compared to other codes of sport.

Tradition has its negative aspects like Indigenous peoples hunting endangered species in this day and age because they 'traditionally' have done so - although the world is no longer 'traditionally' like it used to be for them.

Don't get me wrong, I personally like the Queen and what they do besides being a Tourism drawcard. Sort of like a Movie and Actors that are actually set in the stone of History. They do wonderful Charitable work and deal with the stress of major decisions in the world, especially Political. The stress of Perfectionism is always there.

But they are really an Archaic peice of culture in the New Europe ...a Europe that is being united by Music and not Politics, that is being saved by Medicine and not Military.
Prince William standing in his regal Military attire as if 'important' to the future of Europe when it is the Surgeon that holds the proud name of ARTHUR because what was once a Sword is now a Scalpel ...not a Gun (*projectile weapon)

But besides all that, the UK has 'traditionally' always rejected, cast away, etc - all that is Australia.

...only after then, will they see - that it is Australia that are the Puritants and Americans that are the Criminals.

*Projectile Weapon: Boomerang, Spears, Woomera (Aboriginal); Boomerang, Spears, Bows/Arrows (Egyptian); Bows/Arrows, Spears (Asian); Bows/Arrows, Tomohawks, Spears, BlowDarts (Americas); Spears, Asegais, BlowDarts, Bows/Arrows (Africa)  ...mostly 'Darkie' weapons. ;D

Sure the Nipponese (Japs) had Swords, but their Swords were made so - as to compensate for their inferior and poor Sword play or manouvers.
The Middle-East also had Swords, and the Scimitar was a powerful Sword indeed...
...but the Double-Edged European swords were always the more effective.

It won't be Wee-Willy's decision.

The trouble with changing the flag is what to change it to.

You change it to 50% of what Australia is to itself
and the other 50% of what this country is to the World.

...and if you know what the 'Big Picture' is  ;)

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Most people  battle year in year out and  are lucky to own a home or go on an overseas trip once in their lives. Most people around  the world work to the point where  their bodies breakdown so they can put something on the table. The royals have wealth , travel, the best of everything they  really don't deserve  or have worked hard enough for . It's an outdated piece of crap that is going out like the dodo. Good riddance.

YES

Our FIRST flag

Hand-sewn by miner's wives - and first raised at Bakery Hill, Ballarat, on the 29th of November 1854.

( ... The Commonwealth Blue Ensign; although selected in 1901 and gazetted in 1903, it was not given Royal assent and adopted as the definitive Australian flag until 1954 - a century later.
It is based on the Blue Ensign of the United Kingdom)

( ... it is said, you can tell a true Anglo-Australian by the lump in the throat - and the touch of a tear in the eye - on being in its presence, for the first time)

Jeez tthe hammer and sickle would just a appropriate. The union flag has nothing to do with me, so Id rather not if that is ok with you.

Nothing to do with you?

You've never had annual leave?

You've never received superannuation from your employer?

You've never accrued Long Service Leave?

Never had a sick day?

Never had a meal break or rest break?

Fair enough then, if you haven't received at least one of the benefits listed above, I suppose the union flag doesn't have anything to do with you.

I'm with BigOl64

That Eureka Unionism Flag (kickstarted by 'foreign workers') and Waltzing Mathilda (for the ALP lovers)
- is not my 'Australian Choice' either.
That Flag represents YANKEE and nothing to do with good ol Southern Federation or Confederation  ;)

I'm just a Worker, I know my place.
If I don't like it - then I should man up and run my own business, etc, etc.

Unionism nearly ruined the Opera House and the recent Hobbit movies.
Unionism is just a middle-man like Coles and Woolworths.
Unionism is 'unorthodox' = where Bosses serve the Workers

But all in all - I accept that Unionism MUST exist in this Country as many 'other' types of Flags can also and are also completely JUSTIFIED to do so.

That's the crux of the matter though isn't it Peoples  ;)
Australia really is a continent of many different little nations. Sure, there are those who keep trying to keep the nation 'monopolised' and 'generalised' - but I remember when going from NSW to Victoria was indeed a totally different experience and world.

BTW - I'm a Confederate: Rip me off my pay and chances are you come back to the workplace the next day and the place is broken into or your secretary, daughter or wife is pregnant with my child.
;) :-*

Yes and the unions also left us with having to change a 5 day per week role into something to suit a woman who wants to do 2/3 days per week.
Plus keep the role open not just 12 months but potentially an ADDITIONAL 12 months.

I never said I disliked the unions, I personally hate people claiming credit for sh1t they had nothing to do with and in many cases it is the unions, via their non-paid moutth-peices like you. Socilaist have a long history of co-opting the efforts of others and claiming them for their own. One only has to look at the unions and labor 'history' to see what I mean.

So you have stopped conceding your arguments with stupid gifs and are now relying on stupid lies. Well you're nothing if not consistent and obvious. You are no fun once you have realised you have nothing left to present as a valid case.  ;D

Did you ask for an example?

Yep.

"However, if you have a valid dispute with the unions' involvement in any of the benefits I mentioned, feel free to put your case forward."

Try to keep up.

I said I didn't haver a dispute, valid or otherwise with the unions. Which is different to  asking for an example.

bugger you're bad at this. I totaled your anti DP argument and now your trying to win this one on bullsh1t.

Rest assured if I ever have a valid dispute with the union movement I will present my case to them.  :)

You should have given up about 4 or 5 posts ago.

You're just looking silly now.

Perhaps you'll do better in our next encounter.

Cheers.

That's what you posted when I flogged on the anti-DP post, usually it's just some juvenile insult delivered in a gif or jpeg. What's happening, your stock of insults running low?  ;D

You know children, I mean really small children claim victory without any evidence of winning; they wish it and in their undeveloped brains it happens. Just like you, boy.

Too late to save face now BigOl.

You really should have quit while you were well behind.

Better luck next time old chum.

Cheers.

;)
