Yes good old labor tax and spend ( waste )

Artcle in afr today.

The federal government will prop up the budget bottom line by billions of dollars with a new levy on banks that will be badged as providing insurance in case future bailouts are needed.

Regulators urged fee for deposit guarantee

October 4, 2012

Top banking regulators urged the federal government to consider charging banks a fee in exchange for the taxpayer guarantee on deposits, in a move that could have raised up to $38 billion over 25 years, previously secret documents show.

Details of the regulators' push for a levy are revealed in heavily-redacted documents released yesterday after a freedom-of-information request from the Australian Financial Review.

A scheme that charged banks 0.05 percentage points of deposits of less than $250,000 covered was projected to raise $37.8 billion after 25 years, the papers show.

Yet Greens don't have a death duties policy.
If you are to spin conservative propaganda, at least be closer to the facts,

We should never ever tax people for their deposits.

What of the older couple who have worked hard for their savings and have already done it through earnings that have been taxed?

They'd be paying twice.

No thanks.

Step in the right direction

but aims the barb at the wrong party

They should be taxing BANK PROFITS

Those obscene bank profits

But they don't have the guts

because we all know those who profit from usury have 'our' gutless, worthless politicians by the short hairs

LEVY BANK PROFITS

now out on the street and start chanting

Out there in Kevvie's face when he's doing his next of four hundred interviews and photo ops per day

Chant TAX BANK PROFITS

and I'll match whatever the Paids to Post are being paid

Penny Wrong just announced this to the media.

They want to steal from peoples savings for Labor's future bail outs.

1. I guarantee any money stolen from peoples accounts will not be there when a future bail out will be needed if handled by the ALP.

2. A government does not need this if they know how to handle the countries fiancés properly.

3. This government HAS TO GO!

The Govt. is desperate & broke.

Now they want to further rob peoples money in the Bank.

They already tax bank interest - even when you lose compared with the US dollar -
which has happened in the last 3 months.

The Govt. are nothing but thieves.
Your money is not safe in the bank.

armed bank robbers.

Nope, no TV. It's permanently stuck o ABC2  or off. As for newspapers, haven't seen one of them in years. I do however read the news on the internet and I've seen no policy announcements from labor. Since you've obviously seen it, perhaps you'd care to share?

Exactly.
Labor is doing what Labor does best.
Alienating it's constituents and driving voters away.
