I despise politicians trying to cosy up to sports and identities ....... especially if you have never really been into sports, no doubt Rudd at school would have been one of those kids picked last when they pick the footy team.

He would have also been one of the kids who had their head flushed in the toilet regularly.

I don't think he's all that confident since the event is in Gair (yep, named after Vince) Park: it's one of the smallest parks in Brisbane...
