Title: WA and Vic Signing Up
Post by Greens_Win on Aug 4th, 2013 at 9:58am
BREAKING NEWS PM Kevin Rudd says Victoria will sign up to the Better Schools funding plan and WA to DisabilityCare Australia.

Rudd reaches deals with WA over DisabilityCare, Victoria over Gonski

Prime Minister Kevin Rudd says Western Australia has agreed to participate in the national disability insurance scheme and Victoria has agreed to sign on the Government's Better Schools plan.

Mr Rudd says there will be two DisabilityCare Australia "pilot projects" held in Western Australia.

"In long negotiations over the weekend, we've concluded an agreement with Western Australia," he said.

"I spoke to Premier Barnett last night... and WA is now going to participate in the DisabilityCare Australia scheme."

Western Australia is the only state not to have signed up to the policy.

Mr Rudd also says Victoria has agreed to sign on to the Federal Government's Better Schools plan.

"There have been negotiations underway between the Commonwealth and Victoria over the last week," he said.

"As of this morning, we have reached agreement. Victoria will now sign up to the Better Schools plan for Australia."

Oh, do get your hand off it.

Of course the states would hold out for the best deal, only a fool wouldn't.

No. The states should hold out for what’s in the interests of Mr Abbott.

And that means more boats, no services, and economic meltdown.

if that were the case then they wouldn't sign at all...

the best thing for Australia would be to stick to the current arrangement of funding... so maqqa is 100% right...

im not sure that some of you understand that we ARE BROKE... and in DEBT...

further spending puts us further into DEBT...

its not rocket surgery...

Mr Rabbitt has changed his tune now though, he thinks Gonski is a good idea and supports it. Funny, he forgot to let the mincing poodle know, the mincer was still saying how bad it was on Thursday night and on Friday phoney Tony said the coalition would support it. Must have just wanted to make Pyne look like a dick, not that he needs any help in that.
