She's a former investment banker.  Most labor appointments are things like giving the job of NSW Director of Education to the husband of a female Labor MP despite being a convicted and  jailed drug dealer and having zero qualifications or experience in education.

There are many former investment bankers ... most of which are not married to liberal politicians ....

and as far as your pathetic attempt to talk down the appointment of Plibersek's husband,  why was his contract renewed under O'Farrell? I guess he must really be hopeless at his job. Or maybe O'Failure was just looking after 'the boys'......

What he was longy was NSW chief of staff For NSW treasury for six years, and NSW director general for the department of commerce.

He knew people and he knew money and you can't run any department without superior skills in both.

Under ofarrel he has held the position you mention, the director general of finance and the director general of community services.

He obviously has the skills, and it's weak to throw up what someone did, and served their time for in 1987 some 20 years later.

And as for Melissa Babbage, her skills, experience, knowledge and connections are off the charts, the woman is a genius

Quote:
Queensland's premier denies the appointment of federal shadow treasurer Joe Hockey's wife to the state's public service super fund board is an example of jobs for mates.

Sydney-based Melissa Babbage was appointed to the QSuper Board in June.

Premier Campbell Newman says Treasurer Tim Nicholls recommended her appointment.

"She has a track record in investment banking, she is interstate," he told ABC Radio.

"I don't know the lady and I don't think anyone around the cabinet table has a personal friendship with her.

"She is suitably qualified to be on the board and that's where it should start and end surely."

He said jobs for mates was about appointing someone linked to them but unqualified for the job.
"Just because she happens to be related to someone in federal politics shouldn't disqualify her at all."

There will be questions in the new house.

Firstly cods I can't anywhere where he was caught buying drugs a few years ago

Secondly I have supported both Abbott and Gillard when members of their respective opposites tried to throw mud for events from 20 plus years ago. I stand by that and always have.

I would like to think everyone has grown up, matured and progressed in that time.

You just slandered a man ,again, without providing proof. Where is the proof he was caught buying drugs again not that long ago? Not that I give a shi t , drugs should be legal anyway.

try and get a job ANYWHERE in the education system as a former drug dealer and imprisoned felon.  They literally wouldn't let you thru the front door of a school.
