Title: A Taste Of What To Expect Under Abbott.
Post by imcrookonit on Aug 20th, 2013 at 2:07pm
PM takes protests Qld school closure

    From: AAP
    August 20, 2013
    The Australian.

Kevin Rudd has attended a protest against the possible closure of Nyanda High in Brisbane.

YVONNE Breitkreutz, 72, reckons the people who would close down her old school are a bunch of grubs.

Prime Minister Kevin Rudd is a little more diplomatic but cites the possible closure of Nyanda High in Brisbane by Queensland's Liberal National government as a taste of what Australians could expect under Tony Abbott.      :(

Ms Breitkreutz and Mr Rudd both took to the podium outside the school grounds for an early morning protest on Tuesday.

Mrs Breitkreutz, the oldest former student at the rally, said some "grubs" burnt down St Mary's Catholic Primary School at Beaudesert.

"What's the difference between those grubs and the grubs that want to destroy our school?" she said.

Nyanda High is slated for possible closure by the Queensland government. State education minister John-Paul Langbroek, whose sister Kate attended Nyanda, has called for submissions.

But Mr Rudd said "cut cut cut" is what all of Australia can expect under a federal coalition government.      :(

To rousing cheers from the audience of students, parents and Labor supporters, he said under Labor's education plan, Nyanda would face a bright future with additional funding of up $2 million.

"That's the big difference," the prime minister said.

"Across the nation, our investment is $15 billion. Mr Abbott is going to rip $8 billion.      :(

"If we are going to build Australia's schools for the future you have got to invest in their future."

Schools are closing and opening all the time to take account of population shifts.
Personally I would see Mr Rudd as a bit of a grub exploiting an issue which is probably quite sad for many people.

There's only one grub in this election - Abbott.

Although the majority of his supporters are no better.

They are not welcome in my home.

They are not welcome in my country.

Can't agree with that. Our question is: which bunch of grubs is least unfit to run the country?

Here's a taste of  what to expect if RUDD is re elected.

1. National debt to balloon out to 600 billion dollars

2. Another 50,000 illegals to turn up (They haven't stopped coming you know PNG or no PNG)

3. Yearly Government Budget Deficit to be around 34 billion dollars

4. The new Labor  Tax on everyone's savings accounts to go up and up as Labor desperately tries to source money

5. The NBN to get dearer and dearer and dearer, it is blowing out at an in credible rate, something Labor is desperately trying to hide. And it is un budgeted

6. Business confidence to bottom out to new levels of depression as Labor f....s over business. It killed the mining boom with its repressive policies and drove investment capital to other countries...stone cold fact

The fact is that rudd's PNG plan is working. The numbers arriving are dropping off, and only one boat with around 200 people has arrived in the last 5 days. That is a big difference to the flood that were arriving at the time of the PNG announcement with about 1250 arrivals in those seven days, including six boats with nearly 500 passengers in one day.

Of course, the total number of 'illegals' that arrive in Australia is actually much higher, but nobody seems to care about those who come by plane.

It won't cost as much as the GST widening and increasing that Abbott will bring in. Then there are all the cuts that will affect families like Abbott's plan to cut the schoolkids bonus.

Are you sure? Rudd says Abbott will raise the GST, but Abbott says that won't happen. Rudd says Abbott will privatise Medicare, but that's not even a Coalition policy. Rudd says Abbott will close hospitals and Medicare offices, but Abbott has said Health will be quarantined from any cuts. Rudd says Abbott will bring the country into recession, yet Rudd has been spending like crazy (and run up a debt of close to $300bn) and wants to spend even more! Rudd wants an end to negative politics, yet he's okay with the multitude of personal attack ads against Abbott. There's only one grub in this campaign and it's RUDD. He has no policies and so it turning to lies and attack ads.
