Election 2013 Treasurers Debate
Recent Speaker
Treasurer Chris Bowen will debate Shadow Treasurer Joe Hockey
August 28, 2013

Election 2013 Treasurers Debate.     :)

thumbnailChris Bowen is the Federal Member for McMahon in Western Sydney. Chris has been a Federal Member of Parliament since 2004.

In February 2013 Chris was appointed Minister for Tertiary Education, Skills, Science and Research and Minister for Small Business. Chris resigned as Minister for Tertiary Education, Skills, Science and Research and Minister for Small Business, saying it was the ‘honourable’ course of action following his support for Kevin Rudd in the failed leadership showdown of March 2013. In June of the same year, Chris was appointed Treasurer by Prime Minister Kevin Rudd.

thumbnailJoe Hockey is the federal Member for North Sydney and the Shadow Treasurer.

He was elected to the Australian Parliament in 1996 and following his re-election in 1998, was made Minister for Financial Services and Regulation, one of the youngest ministers in the history of the Commonwealth.

In February, 2009 Joe was appointed by Opposition Leader Malcolm Turnbull as Shadow Treasurer. He was subsequently reappointed by Opposition Leader Tony Abbott in December 2009.

Are you sure???

Quote:
The Coalition established a panel to look at its costings, comprising Access Economics co-founder Geoff Carmody, former Queensland Auditor-General Len Scanlon and former department of prime minister and cabinet secretary Peter Shergold.

Mr Hockey said the policies were costed by the PBO, before being assessed by the Coalition's panel of ''three wise men'', but he declined to release the PBO costings.

He said he would release the PBO's costings only when Labor releases all of Treasury's working papers.

Got a tick from the hand picked "Three wise-men" would be more accurate.

And we all know about hand picked numbers men from the last election don't we?

So this is a debate between someone who hasn't done the job and someone who was in the job a few weeks before an election was called?

Tweedle dum vs Tweedle dumber.

let your political preference decide which one is which.
