Title: Why I'm voting labor
Post by bludger on Sep 6th, 2013 at 12:44pm
It took Telstra over 3 weeks to fix my landline.
When I rang them they informed me if I was a Telstra customer it would take 3 days. They said they had a heavy workload. This company makes sqillions of dollars profit and will not employ sufficient staff.
This company will be in charge of the maintenance of the last 60 metres of rotting copper wire connected from your home to the  fibre optic cable if the libs get in. Can you imagine how long people are going to be offline whilst this incompetent company runs around like like the proverbial blue A fly?
This rollout has to be done once and done right irrespective of cost. Even if it means putting labor back in for another 4 years it will be worth it.

Unfortunately people want a sub service and big ugly boxes somewhere in their street.

Lets hope most of them go out front conservative voting houses.

Even if Labor was to get back in it will still take another 20 years for you to get the NBN, so tell us again why you are voting Labor?

So let me get this straight? Telstra took 3 weeks to fix your landline and therefore its the Liberals' fault even though Labor have been in for 6 years?

Are you insane? :D :D :D

Based on their posts here -- and the corruption scandals re: Labor generally -- Gillard's 'giving' $100 million to Adelaide uni TEN DAYS before the supposedly spontaneous leader change -- based on the vote rorting going on by Labor right now -- based on Rudd the Nut

yes, Red ... 'crazy' is the only appropriate term for them

We can only hope :)

It will be funny to see them shriek from the roof tops about ugly over sized boxes.

I didn't mention the libs.
No I'm not insane. Tell you again why I'm voting labor?
I already have NBN. I'm voting labor so everyone else can have it.
But now that you mention the libs, you can have malcolms nbn. He'll be o.k. he can afford 10 grand to connect. Very socially divisive. I prefer to pay for mine through my taxes.
Who's insane? :P

Well I ve already voted and while I didn't vote Labor I certainly preferenced them way above the coalition.
I preferenced Labor because they have managed the economy better than phoney Tony could have given Abbott would have spent a similar  amount of money but pissed it against the wall by giving it to business rather then families.
I preferenced Labor because we have amongst the best economies in the world, all managed by Labor.
I preferenced Labor because I want my son to grow up in a country that cares about its environment and ensuring its future.
I preferenced Labor because I want my son to have a future.
I preferenced Labor because phoney Tony  does not deserve the respect or honour of leading this country.

Good post.
Fiber to the node is cheaper but does require those ugly boxes in every street.
The pits where the copper is now are sometimes full of water
which corrodes & damages the copper.

Here's a good video about it from an electronics engineer:

So you think the ALP are going to re-nationalise Telstra ?

What about the many more public entities (more than the coalition) that they solf off ?

Do you want them to buy back CBA commerade ?

FYI the ALP have been in for the last 6 years how have they helped you on this point you struggle to define ?

You might as well use a chocolate wheel to vote for you if this is all you can come up with.
