No idea how to interpret these exit polls. My guess is that they would be biased left with conservative voters more likely to vote before polling day. No idea about how WA would effect them either. Appreciate some informed analysis. |

I voted for the greens in the house of reps and Assange in the senate.
If I'm one of those nutters then I consider it to be a noble title ;) |

The galaxy exit polls has greens on 9% which is in line with the polls. it also has a 2PP 54.5/45.5 which equates to about 45 seat majority

The senate should be very interesting if Julian Assange wins a Victorian Senate seat. Assuming they can get him into the country to take his seat in parliament |

The Greens vote has held up and contrary to the conga line here Bandt will also hold his seat. ALSO, the Greens vote had INCREASED by 1.8 percent in NSW,great job. ALSO, labor look like winning 58 seats with a Palmer seat as well. The fact phoney Tony will be hated within months Labor are certainly going to be in striking power at next election. |

Yeah, and Newspoll predicted the Libs picking up 32-40 seats, and that doesn't look like it'll happen. Poll predictions aren't always 100%. For Bandt's seat, I'd wait until a lot more votes are counted. There's still about 19 booths to count, and there's only 10% between Bandt and Bowtell. |

44% Primary for Adam, an 8.5% increase. 2PP : 44.3/55.7 to the Greens. Sure it's not official until all votes are counted. |

the greens lost 30% of their vote. It is amazing listening to you wankers crowing about ONE SEAT while in the other 149 you did 30% worse than last time. and in the senate you are losing your balance of power.
it has been a disaster for the Greens, |

one seat while everywhere else the vote just crumbles. and lets see how good his votes last in 2016 when he has had 3 years of complete irrelevance and zero access to the levers of power. You can be pretty sure Abbott will give him (and Wilkie) and extremely cold shoulder. those latte sipping inner-suburban greenies who never get their hands dirty will grow tired of an MP who achieves nothing. green vote at 8.7% a truly appalling performance - but pretty much what I predicted! |

Greens spiralling out of existence
Which is why there's all the bitching and whining and carping I'm disgusted by the immaturity of Greens and Labor losers here For some reason, I expected better |

Libs got only a smidge more senate votes than Mr X and labor a long way behind.

At least they should be able to scrap the CT now. They might have to wait until July next year, unless the new Labor leader is smart enough recognise the will of the voters.

I don't know that there is a Labor leader smart enough to do that. I suspect they will stubbornly deny the mandate given by the people and see if next time they can lose even more seats and senators. |

The ALP should scrap the CT and let Tony introduce his plan.
If it's good for Australia then it shouldn't cost us more. |

The ALP's big mistake was Knifing Rudd, their second biggest mistake was doing a dirty deal with those extreme greens (their words) and lying about it. |
