Title: Greens Punished For Carbon Tax?
Post by True Colours on Sep 8th, 2013 at 12:54am
Looks like the Greens won't get senate seats in NSW or QLD.

Why?

Clive Palmer may have gotten the protest vote in QLD instead of the Greens, but it seems that the carbon tax has cost them a seat in NSW as well.

Will they recover?

Will the other minor parties' senators make us wish the Greens had won?

There are some idiotic minor parties, but even so, nothing they do will make me wish Greens had won

Life is back to normal.

Australians can travel overseas again and feel ashamed of their prime minister

I was going to say give him a chance but then I realised that foreign media have already cottoned on to him being an idiot:

Australian election's top gaffes: 'no one can be the suppository of all wisdom'

Britain was last month accused of viewing Australia as a nation of "hopeless hicks", only interested in the election because of its gaffes. So ahead of the vote, here are the top slip-ups.

So your argument is that other parties are better ?

That is an A-Grade wet lettuce argument.

The greens need to Dump Milne, much like Gillard she has the personality of a viper.

I don't think it was so much Milne as it was the grubby deals that they did with Labor bringing in the Carbon Tax no one wanted except for a few whacko's..

three four years ago a lot of people were sucked in by the Climate Change Lie but they are a wake up now...

Bandt only won his seat last time due to Liberals referencing him.. that was a mistake they didn't make this time and on the whole I think they may only get 1 set in the senate..  ;D...

Rudd should have had the balls to put them last as well... they are economic vandalises..

it also makes me sick that Bob Katter can get in with only around 31% of the vote when the Liberal candidate for that area was over 40%...

more grubby backroom deals..  >:(

but hey.. that's politics...

Greens will keep our leader and will prepare to go to the next election with a comprehensive policy on dangerous climate change, including a price on carbon pollution and renewable energy.

The sceptics have won this skirmish  only.

I have no regard for the views of those who live outside our borders.

So you want the greens to loose another 3.5% ?

I am OK with that.

Climate change is BS

Most are aware of that

31,000 scientists, worldwide, have stated it's BS

Aussies do not feel obliged to pay yet another tax when the producers of most of the consumer crap floating around Australia was produced by overseas countries who would bitch slap Milne and her pathetic rabble into the middle of next week were she to try to foist her nonsense on them

Greens have lost their captive audience

Greens have been shown the door

Greens were merely the party which collected votes from the disenchanted and those who like to think of themselves as 'progressive' and 'rebellious', lol

Palmer has exposed Greens as nonentities

Greens who ?

Agree and disagree..... if you need to inflict pain on the electorate (which you do from time to time) their needs to be gain. Milne has a very uncompromising aggressive style much like Gillard, she is neither engaging or inspirational ..... you need to be that to sell the pain/gain argument.

Where you are right is that the ALP lied about the CT and then they did a dirty deal with the greens which has clearly hurt both parties.

Howard had a similar challenge with introducing the GST.

If you believe human caused climate change is crap then why are you guys running scared of the Greens.

What you say and how you act are telling two different stories.

Who is running scared ?

If the greens want to lose another 3,5% at the next poll I think its great.

Why to you oppose the will of the people ?

Predicting an election three years in advance !

Greens have science on their side and prior to the scare campaign on carbon pricing, majority supported action.

That majority will return once they see through the coalition's lies.

When they see electricity prices rise under the coalition.

When they see cost of living pressures grow.

When they feel the drought conditions and catastrophic wildfires return.

When they ask why didn't Australia act when we had a chance, you guys will be point at.

Losing more and more support at each election, is one way to go forward I suppose.

Sh1t it was only last week you were crapping on how the greens had 15% now the or barely 8.5%.

Fvcken losers  ;D  ;D  ;D

What as opposed to predicting a big swing to the greens in the current election ?

You need to accept 3.5% is a big smack down.

Unless the greens want to change something like their policies or their leader then its highly likely they will keep sliding.
