Why isn't the press up in arms about these tin pot dictators banning them from telling the truth?

Suck it up princess.
There's a new sheriff in town.
And yes, lets have a DD.
Abbott can use another 4 seats in Parliament, 92 isn't enough.
Labor funding Nauru and Manus only until January has to be Labor's greatest budgetary con job.
And they got caught out.
And Abbott will certainly trot that one out if there is a DD.

Yes, that exact DD.
How did you know?
That's very thoughtful of you.

Is there any reason when starting threads people are longer bothering to cut and paste the article, as opposed to the current trend of a throw away line and a link?

At least by quoting the article people have a chance to discuss it in a much easier manner and quoting of sections of it by forum members is more apparent.

Bit of courtsey guys.

The Minister says the Government will announce how many boats arrive and the numbers of asylum seekers at the briefings, but there will be no information about whether boats are turned around.

"That goes to operational matters that, whether they affect current or future operational activity, you will not be getting commentary from this podium or that podium either way on those matters," Mr Morrison said.

When you make "turn back the boats when safe to do so" a centrepeice of your policy platform, and it has been repeated over and over, it puzzles me why it is suddenly an operational issue and not to be discussed.

If governments have a policy platform of say, reducing waiting times in hospitals then refused to release the information regarding waiting times we would be up in arms.

I think its hypocritical.
