Title: Will the HINCH get the HINT !!
Post by Redneck on Oct 18th, 2013 at 10:15am
Well serial offender Derryn Hinch has been fined $100,000 for his latest contempt of court, will he get the hint this time?

I doubt it !!

Bet he takes the gaol term for more headlines

Broadcaster Derryn Hinch has been fined $100,000 for contempt of court after breaching a suppression order when revealing details of Jill Meagher's killer, Adrian Ernest Bayley's past criminal history.

Supreme Court Justice Stephen Kaye said the contempt committed by Hinch was "particularly serious" and involved "grossly irresponsible" conduct.

Justice Kaye said Hinch was an experienced journalist who fully understood the importance of suppression orders.

He said Hinch had showed his complete disregard to the appropriateness of the orders and set about defying them.

Not sure if 'A Current Affair' will foot the bill,  but he will have to earn about $180,000 before tax to pay it himself.

And if he goes up again they WILL send him to the clink for a long time, as they should.

The man is an arrogant  dill.

Good on him I say.

I hope he asks for donations to help him pay the fine.

Perhaps the parole board should pay Hinch’s fine? They deserve more punishment than he does.

Scum Bayley’s past criminal history should have been posted in every paper, the sooner Bayley takes his last breath the better.

I bloody well hope not.  Comptempt of court?  What about the contempt of public safety by magistrates?

The idiot system is vilifying Hinch when the Judge that let the scumbag out of jail to rape and murder is unaccountable?  :-?

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2013-06-11/violent-past-of-jill-meagher-killer-adrian-bayley-revealed/4745406

Quote:
The Melbourne man who has pleaded guilty to murdering ABC employee Jill Meagher has a long history of violent attacks on women and has admitted faking his way through a sex offenders' program, a court has heard.

Adrian Ernest Bayley was also allowed to continue parole despite being convicted of assault.

Today, Bayley faced a pre-sentencing hearing in the Victorian Supreme Court, where his lawyers said he accepted he should be given a life sentence for the killing of Ms Meagher.

Justice Geoffrey Nettle also lifted a suppression order, allowing details of Bayley's history to be revealed.

The 41-year-old Coburg man has an extensive history of rape and violence.

The Victorian Parole Board failed to cancel his parole after a violent assault and a judge's warning that the public needed to be protected from him.

On parole when he murdered Jill Meagher

When he snatched Ms Meagher off the street last year, Bayley was on parole having served his sentence for the St Kilda rapes, the court has heard.

However in February 2012, the Parole Board did not revoke his parole when he pleaded guilty to punching a man unconscious outside a Geelong cafe.

Bayley pleaded guilty to the assault and the presiding Geelong magistrate determined a three-month jail sentence was warranted, given his violent past.

The ABC understands the attack did not raise alarm bells with the parole board as it was not a sex crime.

Bayley appealed against his sentence and was left free to walk the streets and meet Ms Meagher.

Jesus Christ - it may be 'the law' but in reality WGAF about Adrian Ernest Bayley and his scumlife low life past being made public so the crims can see who to go after?

It's only fair that everyone should know all about such a farken scumbag, and maybe bring some pressure to bear on the same 'courts' to keep a tighter lid on the REAL arseholes in society for a change.

Like - we didn't already know the day he was arrested that he was guilty of a string of violent acts and rapes??? BS - it was all over the news, and I didn't need to hear The Grinch to know about it.  (I didn't, BTW).

This is pure silly.

Hang 'em and hang 'em high!  (I'm against the death penalty but in Bayley's case I'm trying it out - just running it around on my tongue to get the feel of it)....

Hinch knows the law and chose to break it. Now he must pay the price.

I agree. I'd donate $100 to Hinch if he wants to go that route.

I hope Bayley is murdered in prison.

You CANNOT have a viable court system subject to contempt and defiance by the people.

It has to be respected and its decision binding. It would end up powerless if it was so, and AFAIK, ALL judicial systems around the world have 'Contempt of Court' laws.

PS.   I recently sat as foreman on a jury in the Vic Supreme Court, Justice Kaye was the judge.

I agree to a point...

Derryn has to obey the law..

but we all know the LAW IS AN ASS dont we?

we protect bastards like.Bayley... in fact WE GO OUT OF OUR WAY to PROTECT these monsters..

yet we knowingly let our children suffer..

read the report from the sexual abuse Royal..

Bayley will be looked after fed and clothed AND PROTECTED for how ever long he is incarcerated.at enormous cost.

and Derryn! well he will be expected to find $100.000.

$10.000 maybe..

.but I find the fine.just as appalling as the fact Bayley was allowed out on probation so he could murder a decent human being..

and this is our justice.. >:( >:( >:(

bayley needs protection.. ::) ::)

Sorry, but no, we don't!

Hinch was WRONG!  The parole board was WRONG!   The rapist was WRONG!  The Judge was RIGHT!

Derrin Hinch is NOT above the law!

We have a viable court system?  When did that happen?  Our court system is primarily geared to ensuring the free flow of revenue to the government and social control by instilling fear in the general populace through having 'courts' find 'guilt' in thousands of 'minor' charges without recourse to Law and its rules - through magistrates and even judges applying the policy of 'conviction' on police policy.

There is no such thing as 'proof positive' when a 'magistrate' or 'judge' accepts one version of events with zero corroboration, that of the accuser - which is the most common cause for 'conviction'.

In doing so - the courts themselves breach Law and are thus clearly outlaw.

We most emphatically do NOT have a viable or remotely legal court system.  Anyone falsely accused of a traffic offence will tell you that.

To quote Rubin "Hurricane" Carter:-  "Yes, your honour - I DO hold this court in contempt!"
