Ben Fordham, looked for help from Bill Shorten to expose the doings of unions. Sage Bill's advice was: "Don't worry, think of your future in politics, there is a seat waiting for you. Just move on."
This Bill leads Labor in opposition. One day he may become our PM. What a bright future for Australia! |

It will be, once we get this Liberal scum out of power. Those attempting to justify this pack of assholes are looking stupider by the day as the clowns continue to destroy everything they touch. |

HUH.... I recall that was Bill telling a fellow Unionist to think about his future, when he asked him about his decision to go to the police re the AWU mess.

Never heard of this Bob but from what I heard, he had been a union official who had soured. It seems that there are the good apples in cases of maggoty fruit! In any case, all will be revealed in the royal commission where people will be obliged to give answers. How oh how will one of our past PMs fare? I wait breathlessly, Kat. . . Are you? |

Just so I can wear the right attire are we back in the 50's USA & McCarthyism or have we regressed all the way back to Salem?

Bob Kernohan...maybe...he was vice president of the AWU in the WIlson years...and one of the few labrats who wanted a royal commission into it back in the 90s. .he wouldnt accept higher positions to shut him up.. and paid a heavy price for it.... was even bashed.. and yes he has a lot to tell the royal comm. into corruption.. |

No Cods (and its taking a lot of self control not to call you names) What I don't believe in is 1 side of recalled conversations being regarded as anything more than gossip. If you want & support the Royal Commission you'll also support any evidence being rigorously tested & collected within the letter of the law. Or do you want to run the RC on gossip, so its McCarthyism then? Quote:

yeah I know what you mean.. I bite my tongue everytime I read a lefty.... any lefty.. unfair.. where is it unfair.. there have been several royals into unions.. doesnt that tell you something is wrong??? I read where I think it was Miranda who used the term McCarthyism.... she said this is what the left are using..lololol.. the ROyal has many regulations..people can be held in contempt...and are duty bound to tell the truth.. didnt some journo do time because he wouldnt tell them who informed him??... are you serious that our justice system uses unfair practices???? or is it only because this royal may out one or two people who are rather high up in the Lab or Ministry.... what are you afraid of smithy??.. you dont mind the dreadful lies when lefties are calling abbott a women basher.. that isnt McCarthyism is it?? gossip and unfair allegations I think is the way you put it... to put an investigation in the hands of the police is hardly in the public market place.... so how would you stop this corruption... it sounds to me very much like you dont want it stopped you are ok with it.. name calling doesn t take away the fact how you come across..... but if it helps your blood pressure go for it..it wont stop the royal...... what is it number 3 or 4... ::) ::) ::) |

Well, someone made a shambles out of that quote. But yes, I do. Because: 1/ It did what it was intended to do. 2/ It was insignificant in the greater scheme of things. 3/ It was easily serviceable and affordable. 4/ We maintained a AAA credit rating. Wonder how long that will last now that the clowns are destroying everything. And I'd venture to suggest that using 'the debt' as a weapon against the Left ceased to be effective the day Hockey doubled it. If indeed it ever was. |

If, as cods says and I have no reason to doubt her, there have been three or four Royal Commissions into union corruption, they don't seem to have achieved much.
Why should this one be any different? |

it depends on the term of reference Peter...in the past I believe they have only involved one union...and the terms may only involve.,. money for instance or intimidation,... if the terms do not include every nook or cranny then they are not allowed to venture there..they have to stick to the terms... and this royal involves a lot more... as you say NOT MUCH HAS CHANGED>.. lololol.. you are the first lefty to say that.. yet they dont want another royal in the hope it will cleanse the unions image once and for all.. what have they got to lose...?????....why is billy boy against one?????????... .the painters and dockers were a law unto themselves...cement boots and all..but they are long gone..isnt that a good thing???.. if Unions stuck to what their meant to do...look after their members no one would be in the least concerned.. ::) ::) but we all know they have gone beyond that.. not all of them of course... but you know what they say about mud. |
