The way I see it (FD can correct me if I am wrong) this forum was set up with the intention that "General" would be the main place for discussion. Any topics which were too party political and biased would be dumped in the "politicians suck" board.

It just so happens that most members of this forum are cheerleaders for their team so the "politicians suck" board has evolved into the most popular.

I never used it because I hardly ever sent text messages back then. What's the point when you can actually talk to someone or leave a voice message? All new phones have had decent predictive text for years, so it is no longer necessary.

It was not my intention that partisan topics would be "dumped", but that people would figure out for themselves where the thread should go. Partisan politics has it's place, but it should not swamp non-partisan debate of the actual issues, which is what happens when the cheerleaders latch onto an issue.

I agree with you but if you take your blinkers off I think you will see that both sides are guilty of that.

General and PS should definitely be kept seperate
