Title: Is Abbott responsible for these deaths?
Post by adelcrow on Mar 1st, 2014 at 5:54pm
Well ....40 dead Aussies and more than 200 badly wounded in the Afghanistan conflict so because Howard and Abbott chose to invade and put our men and women in danger they should be held accountable for these deaths and injuries.

The Taliban and terrorists will be back in control of Afghanistan very soon so all these dead and wounded will have amounted to nothing.....Abbott needs to man up and apologise to the families of these dead and wounded.

That's twice I've seen that today.

Abbott, man up?

You've got to be kidding.

You'd have a better chance of seeing this guy man up:

(That may or may not be bobby - I'm not sure)

What about Elmer Rudd and Big Butt Gillard? They were in charge for 6 years of the Afghan war. I agree though, what a waste. I would be overtaken by guilt if I sent young men off to die. These politicians seem to forget about the deaths pretty easily.

Yeah, right. Abbott has about as much to do with our troops being in Afghanistan as I do. The withdrawal of our troops began prior to the election. He is presiding over the draw-down of our forces there, ergo he has zero to do with what has happened in Afghanistan during the last 6 years. I'd advise you to direct your enquiries to the incompetent and deceitful offices of Rudd, Gillard & Rudd 2.0 instead!

It's not that easy. It took nearly a dozen flights of C-17 aircraft to get out most (not all) of the equipment used in-theatre. It actually takes a lot of time to plan and carry out the withdrawal - they don't just get up and say, "okay boys, lets go hop on the plane and get out of here!".

in hindsight everything is as clear as a bell... isnt it...

if we had left Afghanistan to the Taliban... I do wonder what the Taliban would have done......do you think instead of fighting in their own mountains... they would have turned their eyes towards the West??.. we would have course think they were harmless.and only interested in drug growing .maybe we should just sit back in future... and then we can all say...

there I told you that would happen....

its very comforting to be right..even if its not nice..

I wonder if the people that develop life saving vaccines are responsible for the deaths of the few that have reactions to the vaccine?

I wonder if the Save the Shark brigade are responsible for the next shark attack death.

I wonder if Holden is responsible for road deaths?
