Title: Jagger's girlfriend dies.
Post by bobbythebat1 on Mar 18th, 2014 at 8:54am
What a pity - I wonder if the tour will go ahead?

http://edition.cnn.com/2014/03/17/showbiz/celebrity-news-gossip/lwren-scott-designer-obit/index.html?hpt=hp_c3

Quote:
L'Wren Scott, a noted fashion designer who has been Mick Jagger's companion for more than a decade, was found dead in her New York apartment Monday of an apparent suicide, according to a law enforcement official familiar with the investigation. She was 49.

Scott's assistant found the designer hanging from a door knob with a scarf around her neck, the official said.

There were no signs of forced entry, and police did not find a suicide note, the official said.

Looks like it was financial problems:

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/mar/17/lwren-scott-mick-jagger-found-dead-new-york

Quote:
Accounts filed with Companies House last October show that Scott’s British company, LS Fashion Ltd,
ran a loss of £3.5m in 2012, up from £2.5m the year before. The documents also showed that the firm owed creditors millions of pounds and that Scott’s adopted brother Randall Bambrough, a successful American executive, joined the company as a co-director last year.

Sad.

Mick will be straight on the plane and out of Perth this morning.

Nobody would expect him to start the tour now.

Sad, for everyone.

very sad

A beautiful woman, long term relationship.
Some money problems and she finds it too much.

Sad

Yes - looks like the tour will be over.
Jagger has 100s of millions of dollars.
You'd think he would have helped her out?

Sad, but if money was that much of a priority, then she probably wasn't getting much enjoyment from life.

I think she was quite embarrassed by her financial situation.

Probably didn't want to ask Mick for help.

I walked past their hotel on the way to work this morning: plenty of news crews out the front waiting for a glimpse of Mick and Keef.

There's no way they could start the tour now.  Announcement imminent.

Wise words.

The banks are to blame too. They just kept lending and lending despite her being in the red, until her debt was way too much for her ever to be able to service.

I doubt she and Mick were very close. Back in the old days people used to find Jagger in hotel beds with David Bowie and the usual collection of drug-stunned multi-sexual idiots.

This 'girlfriend' didn't want to end up like 'Happy Days' Erin Moran ~ living like a bum in a trailer park.

Scott Baio who it was rumoured used to bonk Erin Moran at every opportunity during their Happy Days years, recently said he wouldn't be helping Erin Moran financially, and that it was all her own work that she had sunk so low.

The lovely Doris Day was fleeced by her husband who was also her financial manager.

After a whole string of highly successful movies, she ended up with nothing because of this criminal swine. She had to bunk at friend's places and eat their meals.

Same with Rowena Wallace who played The Rat in the Australian drama series 'Prisoner'.

Ended up practically a bag-lady because of poor decisions with her money.

In Australia: The Stones first concert down under was due to begin on Wednesday - it is unlikely now if Mick Jagger will be able to perform the show.

Everything is happening in Perth, yet they seem to be using eastern states time.

Er, no: it's currently only 11:06am in Perth.

It's a bull-horn.

It's a case of demonising her for smoking.

Don't forget that ultimately the Lefties want us all to be identical to one another in our behaviour, our mode of dress, our speech patterns, our haircuts ... until we all look like human automatons or North Koreans.

George Orwell warned us about this in '1984'.

Big Brother disapproves of Erin Moran smoking. Any displays of individuality is frowned upon by the Far Left.

Personal Freedoms of Choice must be stamped out as 'aberrant behaviour' and rebellion against the State.

The Rolling Stones have called off their tour of Australia and New Zealand after the death of Mick Jagger's girlfriend, L'Wren Scott.

Scott was found dead in her New York apartment on Tuesday, a day after the Stones landed in Perth to begin their tour.

Jagger and Scott had been dating since 2001.

In a statement, the Rolling Stones thanked fans for their support and said they hoped they would understand the reason for the announcement.

They said they plan to reschedule the postponed shows in Australia and New Zealand.

Promoters of the tour are advising fans to hold on to their tickets until further notice.

Music is like art ~ all in the eye of the beholder.

I come from an era when a musical piece had to have a tune.

Pop music had to be carefully crafted by really talented and exceptional people to have a ... tune ... some kind of melody that was clever and catchy and appealing.

But then along came the era of 'Jack-is-as-good-as-his-Master' ... ANYONE could now sing, paint, draw, write poetry, front a Rock Band and be told by Music and Art critics working for the Leftwing tabloids and magazines that they were 'fantastic', and talented, and of commercial standard.

Previously it was only your mother who would praise you like this.

Jimmy Barnes. How he avoided being assassinated for shouting into a microphone for 30 years, I'll never understand.

I have a single-parent mother renting a place across the road from me who is bringing up her two pre-teenage kids on very loud Thump-Thump-Doof-Doof tuneless noise from a couple of 100watt speakers.

This is quite clearly a case of child-abuse.

Jimmy Barnes had a few nice catchy songs until he wrecked his voice with all
that ridiculous screaming.

What is rock & roll?
A.

This is precisely what I mean.

In my day music didn't depend on shock-value, dirty innuendo, sexual abuse, cop-killing lyrics, self-harm, black people-the-hood, gangsta rap, mo-fo 'bad attitood' ... etc.

It was just pleasant music that you could let your teenage daughter listen to without any fear of anti-social messages in the lyrics.

Still one of my all-time favourites ... because of Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
