Two members of this board, WDKYMYS and GeorgeH (or whatever he calls himself now) have posted personal details of a member at our sister board: http://ozpolitic.com/polanimal/index.php

Does anyone have any practical suggestions how this sort of thing can be avoided in the future?

Ban them from that board if that is the case for as long as you see fit.

Should they do so here, I would not hesitate in banning anyone for that.

Political Animal is a more liberal, off-hands board than this one but the posting of personal details is dangerous and unacceptable and I will do what I have to do keep it from happening again. A flame war has started because of the actions of these two Ozpol members.

You prevent it from happening by making it a bannable offence.

If they do so - you delete it and remove them. And thats all there is to it.

They have both created false accounts and taken advantage of guest posting and are using this board as a hideout. The damage has already been done. Ah, well, just wanted to make the members here aware of what is happening.

Yes. Have you thought of banning the member who has continuously posted their photos and personal details all over the board for the last few years? This persecution of the original perpetrator might stop.

No forum is safe. I've just been informed by someone that my name has been used on another board. Fortunately I didn't use my real name, but it came from the email address I used not only on PA, but my account on Photobucket.

Don't use your real name on any forum.

What does it matter anyway. I saw a member's photo up there 2 weeks ago and the person who posted it is still there.

Have you thought of setting some posting standards? You can't expect only some members to adhere to some rule that is never enforced across the board.

Auzgurl has been around since 2006. She posted on the same forum as FD, Sprintcyclist, Skippy, Mozzaok, myself and many others here. Her integrity is not in question. She contributed a lot to this board in the early days.

Its amazing how people blossom and grow as the respectable people that they actually are when treated as human beings and with respect..that you even had to point that out AiA speaks many things about you that come across as very disturbing...people act respectable here because we are allowed to be ourselves. 

Some of the  original Political Animals are lovely people and they won't ever come back in the original form , I know occasionally you pose as Animal Mother or who ever, but the originals have moved on and that is everyone's loss..I am still in touch with one or two,they are lovely people and its a shameful indictment on you as "Admin " that you have ruined PA for those people that made that board what it was meant to be.... that they don't ever want to come back should make you feel so ashamed.

Well said. That community has fallen apart now, although there are still quite a few of the old Crackerites here. Ozpolitic has become a home for a few deceased forums' members.

Please note that this forum is a stand alone, it has rules & there are limitations imposed.

Anyone breaking &/or attempting to get around those rules, runs the risk of a temporary suspension or a permanent ban.
