Title: Manus Island rioters moved to luxury resort as tax

ASYLUM seekers involved in the Manus Island riots were moved to a resort hotel in Port Moresby paid for by Australian taxpayers.

Immigration Minister Scott Morrison has launched an internal probe into the use of the Gateway Hotel which could leave the public with a bill of tens of thousands of dollars.

“The matter has been brought to my attention and I will be asking my department to advise me on what alternative accommodation arrangements were available, their costs and why they were not used on this or any other occasions,” Mr Morrison said.

A group of nine injured asylum seekers were guests at the Gateway Hotel following the riots sparked by the detainees.

Earlier this month one of the nine remained in the hotel, which costs at least $200 a night, six weeks after the riots

Boy these 'asylum seekers' are expensive.

How much is a torpedo?

The asylum seekers are not expensive, the policies of the Abbott government are.

Process these people on the mainland and integrate them within the wider community and allow the adults to work and earn money.

As abbott says, work is the best kind of welfare.

If prostitutes and liquor were laid on politicians have a right to be upset. That's a public purse perk usually reserved for politicians.

Yes, process them here and save $billions. We should stop pushing our problem onto third world countries, it's Un-Australian.

Its the other way around, they should stop being a problem to us.

If they were real asylum seekers they would flee to the nearest country. But, apparently they have the time to shop around for the wealthiest country that is sure to have a rather generous welfare system and then fly to the country nearest to it!

Besides we have enough third worlders in our country, we certainly don't need anymore of them especially considering the likelihood of them committing crime once they're in our country(like the one near the bottom of this webpage http://whitelawtowers.blogspot.com.au/ ,second vid from the bottom) which the mainstream lefty media likes to keep under wraps.

Terrible guests, you should see the reviews on tripadvisor.....

all day breakfast should mean ALL DAY

bed too hard

pool a little on the small side

staff were lazy

mosquitoes in my room

the only positive about this hotel is we're not getting hacked to death

Some people are never happy.
