It seems to vary.  It is either 2 games here and 1 in NSW or 2 there and 1 here, alternating each year.  But I seem to recall an Origin game in Melbourne, and the other two shared between NSW and Qld.

Whether Melbourne gets a game in any given year will be a purely commercial decision

They are charging up to $250.00 per ticket to next week's game at Lang Park.  The minimum is $80.00 and all of them are long gone.

Thanks Aussie.....Seems rather steep for a working class game IMO.....Looks like I will have to watch it on the telle instead!!!

Paid $85 for a seat on the 30 meter line, and thought it was good value. Watched the game hoping for the good atmosphere to make up for the cost of getting in and paying high dollar for chips, squid rings and a bottle of coke. Not much noise for 50,000+ people at the game, except when something exciting was happening. Was quiet for the 90% of the game, and it was like watching a movie on the big screen. You get more atmosphere watching it on the television.

Somehow, I had the feeling that the stadium was playing an artificial atmosphere over the loud speaker system, to make up for the lack of crowd noise.

Thurston should've been sent off a few minutes ago. While speaking of him, he'll never be as good as Andrew Johns. He simply isn't anywhere near as good in defence. Sure, he's a good attacking player, but he's lousy in defence. When Johns tackled you, you asked for the x-rays of the damage. He could bring down front rowers, whereas Thurston can't even stop Hayne most of the time.

They won 8 series in a row, it was inevitable they would lose one when the players got older.

NSW win one and carry on like a teenager who received his first blow job.

It was a grubby game, you can get a penalty for a bitch slap yet a forearm across the face is ok.

The NSW defence hardened the f*ck up and Qld couldn't penetrate the line like they used to.

All the dropped ball by Qld in the last 20 minutes was a result of having to resort to second phase plays in order to score tries. The NSW defence forced Qld into some off-the-cuff football, which resulted in errors.

As a Qld supporter, I like it when Qld wins the State of Origin. But I felt relieved when NSW won the series for 2014. Thurston did his best to help you win the game. But all that aside, I felt that NSW supporters were acting like a bunch of virgin university students that saw uncovered breasts for the first time. Then the memes started up. I have a friend whose daughter was still in the womb the last time NSW won a State of Origin series. It's great that NSW wins this series. But next year, when Qld wins the next series, the memes are going to come up with "hiatus over" type stuff. Good on you for one in a row.
