Title: Saudi woman beheaded for 'witchcraft and sorcery'
Post by Sir Bobby on Jun 22nd, 2014 at 10:11am
Why doesn't the world put sanctions on this barbaric insane regime?

http://edition.cnn.com/2011/12/13/world/meast/saudi-arabia-beheading/index.html?iref=obinsite

Quote:
The country's religious police who said authorities searched Nassar's home and found books on sorcery, a number of talismans and glass bottles filled with liquids supposedly used for the purposes of magic.

Amina bint Abdel Halim Nassar was executed Monday for having "committed the practice of witchcraft and sorcery," according to an Interior Ministry statement. Nassar was investigated before her arrest and was "convicted of what she was accused of based on the law," the statement said. Her beheading took place in the Qariyat province of the region of Al-Jawf, the ministry said.

In a statement issued late Monday, the human rights group called the execution "deeply shocking" and said it "highlights the urgent need for a halt in executions in Saudi Arabia."

So, where is your outrage over the killings of Women in PNG who have been accused of "witchcraft"

Nope, just against Muslims...   ::)

Yes, they should be.  However, why did I need to draw your attention to it?  Why did you start a thread which only specifically attacked Muslims for Witch killing, when it is a far more widespread practice than you seem to realise...

Woman killed and burnt in Columbia for witchcraft

Two women killed in India for suspected Witchcraft

Another Indian woman killed for suspected Witchcraft

Philippina killed for suspected Witchcraft

Hammer maniac ‘kills women for being witches’ in New York

Brazillian woman killed because of suspected Witchcraft

Yet you only accuse Muslims of this horrendous crime?   ::) ::)

I was reading CNN & saw it as one of their headlines
so I thought the Islam readers on Ozpolitic would be interested to read it.

You are forgiven for creating a non-existent conspiracy.

Are the killings of women in PNG performed by the government Brian?  When it comes to beheadings by governments you are happy not to criticise although I guess that is only Islamic beheadings you endorse and apologise for. ::)

Now back to PNG, are you comparing fairly Brian or doing your usual dishonest comparisons?  Hmmmmmmm?

Phuleeze Brian your apologies and running interference for only one religion is obvious in your substantial posting history.  But that is ok, it is consistent with the left to forgive any atrocities committed by the religion of peace.

The examples Brian linked had Police investigating who called it murder, how does that compare to Saudi Arabia where an executioner is paid by the government to chop the heads off these witches?

Do you think it is fair to compare what is called murder to a state sanctioned death penalty for witchcraft?

The apologists somehow think a few nutjobs killing witches where it is against the law is somehow comparable to the law of the land in Saudi Arabia where the law of the land has government executioners chopping the heads off these witches.

Iran executes people for witchcraft as well.

This death penalty for witches in Saudi Arabia and Iran shows Islam is not compatible with human rights, take note of articles 18 and 19-
www.un.org/en/documents/udhr

Why are leftists so eager to defend a belief that is not compatible with human rights?

Sorcery executions are far less frequent in Islamic countries than in PNG.

The problem with these types of things is misogyny. Persecutions for witchcraft and sorcery overwhelmingly affect women - that's been the case throughout history. Address the misogyny and you address the problem. It is estimated that 90% of women in PNG suffer physical abuse. 90% - that's a massive number. Imagine what that does to a society.

Quote:
The pair charged with the murder of Kepari Leniata,20 are related to a 6 year old boy they accused her of using sorcery to kill,Police said in a statement.
www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-21501955

Islam has the death penalty for witches, the government executioners chop your head off for witchcraft in Saudi Arabia, nobody gets charged with murder for killing witches in Saudi Arabia
Lots of witches have had their heads chopped off in Saudi Arabia,do muslims face SA when they pray?
https://www.google.com.au/?gws_rd=ssl#q=witch+executed+in+saudi+arabia

Unlike Saudi Arabia there are no witch executions in PNG,they call it murder in PNG.

So, ignorant as well?  That explains a great deal.

Unless of course you were merely trolling?   ::) ::)

I don't see any problem with highlighting a problem in the islamic world - in the islam forum. Perhaps the PNG cases can be discussed in a relevant forum.

I don't have a problem either.  What I object to is singling out one religion/society and ignoring the same thing occurring in other religions/societies.

I guess its the frequency it happens in islam is the sad factor.

We blame Islam.

Baron makes a legitimate point, but the truth is, if the situation as described in PNG was happening in some muslim country, we would get all the usual polemics about islam causing such an epidemic, and the muslim authorities turning a blind eye etc etc.

Brian, its the islam forum. Why on earth would you object to islam getting singled out in the islam forum?

Good points -
it's state sanctioned in Saudi Arabia & many other Islamic  countries  but a crime elsewhere.

How can the world put up with this - killing witches in 2014?

Witch hunts are back.

When that Saudi woman was killed, it was in keeping with their cults laws.

When a PNG woman is killed, it is illegal.

islam wants to dominate the whole globe with these laws.
PNG does not.

That’s right, Sprint. Just think - if we don’t stop the dastardly towel-heads over in Saudi Arabia, they’ll end up down here.

Our current grown-up government must be quite angry with those Saudis, no? You know, being on the Security Council and being all chummy with Uncle and everything. Shurely they’d never support military training or arms sales or war games with such a regime, eh?

Oh, they do? That’s a relief. Maybe if we continue to support the beheaders in Saudi Arabia everything will be okay.

If that day ever comes, where muslims listen to reason, that will be the day islam dies.

The reformation of Christianity could only happen if Christians moved closer to the doctrine of Christ.

There is not a single teaching of Christ, which could be distorted to a degree that the inquisition was justified.

As a matter of fact Christ warned against such people:

Mathew 15:9  But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.

He also goes on to say that He will turn his back on workers of iniquity.

So the reformation showed that Christians had to align themselves closer with Christ's doctrine

Conversely, muslims have to reject the teachings of rape, torture and mass murder in the qur'an.

There is no other way they can modernize and improve their status on the societal ladder.

The chance of anything like that happening, has a lot against it at the moment.

1/. muslims wholeheartedly reject that the qur'an is backward and evil

2/. They are aided and abetted by their apologists, who also absolutely refuse to condemn islam and it's atrocities, without trying to equate islam and Christianity as equals.

So I don't see any peaceful resolution to the problem, muslims will carry on with their backwardness, until one day the world will turn on them.

It's true - I tried to educate the last moderator Abu about that.

Mohammad was a Christian who went all around the holy lands preaching the gospel.

Islam is an Abrahamic religion just like Judaism & Christianity.

They all used to use the same "church"  to pray in :

The Muslims on Friday
the Jews on Saturday &
the Christians on Sunday.

Dear Karnal,
Witch hunts in 2014 - what has the world come to?

It must be the End Times.

Very funny in a black humour kind of way.

Pity the Muslims are still at that stage.

Some are.  Some Christians are as well.

However, the majority have moved on, just as the majority of Christians have.  Problem is, most bigots refuse to recognise that.   ::) ::)

I will say this, firstly I do not associate or endorse Christianity, I feel that it has no place in European or indeed western culture.
It is a middle eastern culture with no connection to my pagan European culture which was denied me.

It is easy to forget that people of European descent who identify as Christians are overlooking the fact their adopted Middle Eastern religion was foisted upon them in the dark ages.

They also overlook that fact that by the middle ages they had launched a Christian crusade against Islam which in those days was a progressive forward thinking civilisation ( compared with how it is these days any way )

Christians also overlook the conquering of far away lands such as the Americas and the forced conversions that took place their.

And here is the clincher and the most important one of all, they overlook the fact that up until a couple of hundred years ago, members of their faith were still drowning and burning witches at the stake. Men were killing women they regarded as being free thinkers to teach the rest of the community that such thought we not be tolerated.

Luckily the followers of Christianity eventually stopped this barbaric practice, but in places like Saudi Arabia, or
any other miserable third world hate filled culture, these stone age superstitious  beliefs still persist.

I think what we in the enlightened west need to do is condemn every third rate culture that systematically persecutes and murders women.

It may help you, just a tip, to actually know what Christianity and a Christian is before throwing it around in a nonsensical manner.

We must draw a line somewhere.

What do they have to do before we do something about it? -

start a new holocaust?

Basically, that's what has to happen. Particularly if Israel gets attacked.

True, Mahdi, but if you’re referring to the impending war against the tinted races, I think Taipan and I have found a solution.

We’re all going to sit down and have a jolly old chinwag.

It works here, no?
