Caliph adamant, cods, myself have all been banned recently with no reason given.

Could something be done about whoever the mod is that is banning people with no given cause please ?

I think we should be told why we were banned and who did it.

I do not know why I was banned.

The mods have already stated more than once...if you are suspended you already know what you did..and I know why I got my last suspension, I responded to a flame thread put up about me by someone ::) ^ who put up TWO flame threads about me in 2 days in a row in fact, and he wasn't suspended the first day so he ought to be grateful I think. I never got a reason why, but I knew why...I suggest we all know in fact.

But stating the length of the suspension might be useful I think.

sprint I haven been banned from the boards...just one iddy biddy one.... mostly you will be banned because someone complained about you.  to a mod who sympathised with the complainer....so if you upset someone or was in a row with someone maybe you upset them..swore maybe..dropped the lip.. who knows...

thats more the point....my ban was spamming and I was gone for 2000 seconds...I havent seen it since but it just flashed up I think I used the word porn more than once in the comment I made..

so the spam problem seems to be on the number of times a naughty word is said..

a kind of immature sort of censoring if you like...

weird for adults to have to put up with.

when we had this last discussion FD said you would get the reason sent by PM at the end of your sentence.....so someone is breaking FDs rules if they didnt message you with details of said crime..

Though that does reveal an interesting wrinkle, I peruse the forum by checking the last 25 posts and I respond to those posts without checking which forum they are in.  I assume a lot of posters do the same.

But Aussie has declared that a single inadvertent post by me will result in a permanent banning from the entire board, despite mind you, Aussie acting in contravention of the very same rules that he quoted.  Bloke is an idiot.  All the evidence is there.

It seems only fair that moderators of the individual member run boards adhere to the same rules and conditions that they endeavour to enforce.   Overall most of the moderators here seem to be balanced and fair but there are a couple who need to not only lead by example but to leave their personal bias at the door.

thank you for the invite....I very rarely intrude on the members boards... and the last one I got abused for my trouble.... the mods I seem to upset know who they are...

I apologise if my words attacked every mod on the boards...I do have a banter with aussie...he does have a wee ego but not a banning manic one...and I think he knows I didnt mean that....

we should be able to critic the mods though this is called freedom of speech I believe...and the thread is about banning and no reason given....

most mods claim if you look back you will see what you said to get banned.......and the person still claims they didnt do anything wrong...

shouldnt they have it spelt out for them...." that yes you did such and such"...how hard is that El?   

if you have time to ban someone you have time to tell them what they did to warrant it...

if they ask...no ifs or buts.

if only I had stuck to talking about  a new dessert with granola and quinoa  ..with egg plant topping..... sooo yummy I would still be there..

I so agree.. who wants to read about what one had for dinner last night..  what sort of reprisals would one get for a vegie lasg???....cant think of one...

I am addicted to the cooking shows but honestly cannot see me ever making any thing they make on the shows....they all appear to have eaten just about everything....I mean parsnip foam.. that the hells that meant to be????.

but at least thats a form of  entertainment.. where as reading what someone had for last nights dinner...its kind of zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz??...
