Apparently Abbott has called in the Israeli ambassador and condemned the murder of 1100 Palestinian civilians. It is also understood he is withdrawing the Australian Ambassador from Israel immediately!

He said this is a far worse attrocity that a few hundred airline passengers and should be condemned by the world at large.

Julie Bishop is rushing to New York to organise another declaration condemning Isreal.  She is quoted as saying "It is an unspeakalble crime against humanity and should be condemned. The perpatrators will be bought to justice!"

She said Mr Abbott is also planning to organise an Australian Peace keeping force to move into the Gaza strip.
The operation is to be codenamed "Operation Budgie" and will be headed by Christopher Pyne
