I am still wondering why the need for them to feel the little girl is SAFE! |

I saw it and thought it was a bad move by the couple to feed the media frenzy that has destroyed their lives and ensured they will never have a normal life again.....Someone should have advised them that they will never get any sympathy from the wider public and feeding the hatred would only make matters worse for them.....More lives destroyed by the MSM to sell their gutter journalism!!!

He shouldn't be too happy, just yet. I wouldn't go out of my way to watch Dolt, however, I certainly would go out of my way to avoid watching 60 Minutes. Phil said it best: "More lives destroyed by the MSM to sell their gutter journalism". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4cGLc3wOrB0&list=UU6kZTpsW1vj95tqRs8Vbj0Q |

why would anyone watch 60minutes anyhow? how long has it been since 60minuts had the likes of Jana Wendt interviewing dictators and real hard-hitting investigative journalism. this is a nonsense story that no amount of TV interview will improve. |

60 minutes only beat the other MSM to the story who would have all been over this couple to sell their trash.....The children who are involved will be the ones who really suffer when they discover they where used so blatantly my the media to beat up this story and be exploited by everyone involved!!! No idea. It's trash. And the viewers don't seem to understand that the stories are edited: "Fighting back her own tears several times during the exchange, Brown was clearly emotional throughout the sit-down chat, but never faltered on her hard line of questioning." http://www.news.com.au/entertainment/tv/tara-brown-praised-as-a-national-hero-for-tough-60-minutes-interview-with-baby-gammys-parents-david-and-wendy-farnell/story-e6frfmyi-1227020194753 Never faltered (if she did, it didn't make the final cut)? Really? So, she did what she was paid for. How is that heroic? For doing her (worthless) job, people are suggesting that she should be "recognised as a national hero". I'm not sure who are worse: the producers of this crap, or the idiots who watch it. ::) |

its amazing how you can be bothered to comment in that case.. I would think if something isnt worth watching then its not worth commenting on... how can you comment on something you dont watch or read because its all too distasteful to your sensitive side??.. is this a nonsense story;.. I dont think so.. at least The Govt in Thailand is taking a good look at the rules behind surrogacy and so they should... its disgraceful what is going on.. to think this guy could have asked for an abortion of that baby boy had they done the tests earlier.... so he shouldnt have been born... nice.... but as he was lets leave him there where he will be left to beg for the rest of his life.. and as the father is a known convicted paedophile it tells me even more the rules in Thailand need a good overhaul. >:( |

and you believe that? even if it were true, it is still pointless TV where no information is gleaned but prejudices and stupidity given a platform. |

Title: Re: 60 minutes Post by jfish1936 on Aug 11th, 2014 at 12:32pm
If surrogacy were legal in Australia, proper checks could be made and possibly prospective parents could be made to have a "blue card".
A clear contract might reduce the chance of custody disputes. However, our morality requires us to "export" such services to lands where regulations are laxer. We are so virtuous! |

Title: Re: 60 minutes Post by Gnads on Aug 11th, 2014 at 2:53pm
Didn't watch it... was at work ... but heard some audio excerpts .....
he sounded very creepy & unconvincing ... that aside the surrogacy issue should be remembered as a business transaction ..... for a fee the surrogate provided the womb to grow the child for 9 months. the child is biologically the off spring of the egg & sperm donors. What has happened during the course of the pregnancy & subsequently since the birth has been regrettable for the sake of the children & that the father has been found out as being a convicted paedophile. None the less even if he was to be taken out of the equation ...... how does that make the biological mother unworthy of the custody of her biological daughter? And there are 1,000's of single mothers in this country, why can't she be one? Anyway doesn't seem like either side .... surrogate or donors have been 100 % truthful. With the fee the surrogate received & the amounts from donations ... she & her family will be very well off in Thailand. Couldn't see why Gammy would end up begging on the streets. |

The difference is an additional person was involved. Remember most couples would have had the child themselves, and there would be no story. |

long loser always shoots the messenger even before listening to what the messenger has had to say. In this case we heard it straight from the horses mouth and not some made up actors. It's up to the individual to evaluate what has been said in the interview and in any event it didn't look good for the said couple. |
