A SENIOR member of terrorist group Islamic State urged random public beheadings in Australia as "demonstration killings" in a plot that sparked the nation's biggest-ever anti-terrorism raids.

SYDNEY man Omarjan Azari is in custody, charged with preparing a terrorist plan involving what police alleged was "random selection" of members of the public for execution.
Azari allegedly conspired with reportedly senior IS figure Mohammad Baryalei, an Afghan refugee turned Kings Cross bouncer and actor who is now wanted for terrorism offences.

Being a muslim wife you'd know all about being on the same level as the family pet. I'd never do that to the females in my family. My females are happy and free. They even get to show their hair . Do you ride in the back of the Econovan while your son rides shotgun in the front seat Karnal??

Personally, I think all Muslim Terrorists are pretty dumb. I think we should be thankful they invariably make mistakes that any common-or-garden guerrilla fighter would sneer at. We should be thankful that they are too stupid to think they need to read anything other than the Q'ran, which is despite what many here believe, not a very good manual for conducting a Terrorist campaign in a modern surveillance state. Because they sneer at even simple practical efforts to "fly under the radar", they get caught relatively easily. ::)

The US military could have, ....beaten the Taliban.

In Afghanistan.

After 9/11.

Easy.

But they just didn't understand their enemy.

BIG MISTAKE.

The US military used tactics in Afghanistan that were guaranteed to fail.

No, they didn't. Their strategy though, was flawed and poorly executed. Why? Primarily because President Bush decided to take revenge on the man who, "tried to kill my daddy!" By withdrawing troops from Afghanistan to take part in the 2003 invasion of Iraq, the Taliban was given a breathing space to regroup and recruit with the result they could and did come back from near defeat. Secondarily, they allowed the Taliban to utilise safe havens in Pakistan's NW frontier states. This meant they had bases which the US couldn't and wouldn't attack, so the border was not sealed. The Taliban could and did freely move back and forth between Afghanistan and Pakistan. Thirdly, the NATO allies of the US were casualty adverse, preferring to stay in their bases and not venture out into the countryside, so the Taliban had a largely free reign and could control the rural population, a classic mistake of counter-insurgency warfare. ::)
