The forum has been pathetically slow loading pages this afternoon for me .

Anyone else having issues?

you've had a storm down your way haven't you? probably water getting into telstras pitts and screwing with the system ... forum speed was fine here on the GC until the rain started about an hour ago

Yes, problems here too.

No storms.  Clear, sunny day.

No no storm although heard a bit otf thunder.

Water in cable usually takes a bit longer to cause issues

I always blame FD when it slows down...just kidding fd.

Hey FD, I wonder is some of those topics that have large number of replies amy be realated to this (I think you suggested that the other day).

Maybe the ones over 100 should be locked/restarted/split into a new one towards the end?

Mr Red Neck......if you have a look through the Threads here in Feedback you will find many on exactly the same topic over years.  FD is well aware of it and it is either beyond his capacity to fix, or beyond his willingness to fix.

I, to some degree,  realise that Aussie.

Just trying to help, I am sure FD is doing his best!

The trouble is these (free?) forum softwares have their limitations and support is largely voluntary!

I often have problems with slow loading, but it's usually my internet connection and not the forum's fault. Right now it is perfect.

its was fine for me, almost always is OK.

It seems the system was on another go slow, this afternoon?

I tried a few times, to log in & eventually gave up, as I had other things to attend to!

I was back home late.
I checked out CNN & a few other forums then Ozpolitic came back on later.

Was out all last night, but back on 9am this morning (may have been earlier, but I do sleep....sometimes).

The American Server took a hit?

Just for shytes & giggles, don't we have any good Aussie servers.....why use a yank server????
