Title: Everywhere man Abbott
Post by John S on Oct 19th, 2014 at 4:25pm
Arm-pit must know that Abbott is good, he is always posting what Abbott is doing.

I bet arm-pit didn't know that Abbott was this good in 2 places at once cycling on the way to Dubbo and flying to Jakarta.

Notice that both stories are from the same Murdoch rag so why would anyone believe anything they write

PRIME Minister Tony Abbott is about to set out on a three-day bike ride from Sydney to Dubbo to help raise funds for a depression treatment facility.

MR Abbott will be in a group of 120 cyclists setting out on Friday to travel almost 400 kilometres from Taronga Zoo to Dubbo's Western Plains Zoo.

The ride to raise funds and awareness for the Black Dog Institute will focus on depression, bipolar disorder and suicide.

The Prime Minister plans to leave Mosman at 5am, head for the Hills district then ride towards the Blue Mountains.

Riders plan to spend the first night in Mount Victoria and continue through Lithgow, Bathurst and Orange, before stopping the second night in Molong and reaching Dubbo on Monday.

TONY Abbott is on his way to Jakarta and is seeking closer ties amid a warning from Indonesia's president-elect about Australia's navy entering its waters while turning back asylum seeker boats.

LABOR says that's not a good start.

Mr Abbott left for Jakarta on Sunday to attend Joko Widodo's presidential inauguration on Monday, his fourth trip to Australia's "hugely important neighbour" since becoming prime minister last year.

He wants Australia's foreign policy to have more of a Jakarta focus rather than a Geneva one, he said before he left.

Mr Joko has outlined plans to strengthen ties, including boosting military and intelligence links.

But he's also warned he will be strong on issues of sovereignty.

He further raised concerns about Australia's asylum seeker policies and warned against Australian naval vessels venturing into Indonesian waters without permission as they did inadvertently on several occasions last year.

Labor foreign affairs spokeswoman Tanya Plibersek says Mr Joko's comments about Australia's policy of turning boats back to Indonesia were quite telling.

"It is not a good start," she told the ABC on Sunday.

"It is obviously, as we have said all along, it is a very big deal for Indonesia that the (Australian) government is making announcements about what's happening on Indonesian waters and soil without talking to (that) government."

Spending $18m to help with the fight against Ebola is hardly "inaction". You'd rather he send Australian medical personnel to their deaths without having a proper evacuation plan in place for them if they get sick? Of course you would!
