Title: Shorten strategy of saying nothing
Post by stryker on Nov 15th, 2014 at 10:04am
It has worked so far, you cant deny that for now Shorten has said nothing about repairing the deficit that labor has left behind but seems happy to extend it more, and build more debt and let some future government way way way down the road to deal with that.

It also seems that bill shorten would also say nothing to help pursue justice for the 38 australian victims of that malaysian plane shot down, I guess Obamas failures must have been an influence on him. because thats exactly a part of obamas many stragedies in dealing with world affairs.

Come election time, BILL SHORTEN IS GOING TO HAVE TO OPEN HIS MOUTH AND SAY SOMETHING,  :D

But world economic leaders have said a lot about Labor saving Australia from the GFC..the proof is the mess Abbott is making with his austerity measures..

Lets face it...Australia has gone backwards with Abbotts unnecessary austerity policies

Shorten won't even have to say anything then.

They'll just reply Abbott endlessly banging on about broken trust re Gillards CT & then reply Abbotts No Cuts interview followed by the quite substantial list of Abbott breaches of trust.

Oh And before you go on the predictable "But Labor Left" train, Tony's covered that as well

Quote:
Consider Abbott's words just weeks before an election in which he was already sailing to victory. During one of a million election doorstops a reporter asked him: ''The condition of the budget will not be an excuse for breaking promises?''

''Exactly right'' the punchy opposition leader fired back. ''We will keep our commitments that we make …'' he went on to say for the umpteenth time in the campaign.

Did he? Tell Putin to apologise? Ummm I think the word you want there is “hint” rather than “told” using the jetliner the Americans shot down by accident as example. That was wrong as was pointed out, the yanks expressed regret but did not apologise. Did monkey have proof it was the russians shot down MH017? Doubt it.

Yet relatives of victims specifically told POLITICIANS to stay away from the remembrance memorial.

given that the biggest risk to global peace is Putin I am surprised at the Putin supporters on here.  actual supporters.  Boofheads that don't blame him for MH17 or invading a sovereign country.  ALl because Abbott opposes him.

there are fewer stupider and more cowardly people than a leftie.

Yep & he even stuffed that up by saying the US apologized & paid compensation to the Iranians which they didn't.

And I don't read IA, I simply can remember what was said & happened more than 6 minutes ago.

given that the biggest risk to global peace is Putin I am surprised at the Putin supporters on here.  actual supporters.  Boofheads that don't blame him for MH17 or invading a sovereign country.  ALl because Abbott opposes him.

there are fewer stupider and more cowardly people than a leftie.

We do not know it was russians or russia–supporting separatists that shot down MH017. We do not know it was a Russian–supplied missile that did the shooting down, could have been a missile captured when a Ukrainian army base got overrun.

Putin is doing nothing more in Eastern Urkraine than we are doing in Iraq.

Yet relatives of victims specifically told POLITICIANS to stay away from the remembrance memorial.

Something about Grandstanding

If Tony was speaking for them you'd think he'd be welcome.

But it seems those grieving relatives can see more clearly than you.

Hang on here, are you saying or implying tony abbott as PM shouldnt speak on behalf to gain any kind of justice, because all i see from you is just plainly anti abbott stupidity and going against common sense

Would have been nice to get Putin to heavy the separatists to let the crash site be properly inspected. That is all we can really ask for at this stage.

In February 1996, the United States agreed to pay Iran US$131.8 million in settlement to discontinue a case brought by Iran in 1989 against the U.S. in the International Court of Justice relating to this incident,[34] together with other earlier claims before the Iran-United States Claims Tribunal.[15] US$61.8 million of the claim was in compensation for the 248 Iranians killed in the shoot-down: $300,000 per wage-earning victim and $150,000 per non-wage-earner. In total, 290 civilians on board were killed, 38 being non-Iranians and 66 being children. It was not disclosed how the remaining $70 million of the settlement was apportioned, though it appears a close approximation of the value of a used wikipedia

You've fallen for the spin.

I'm no fan of Putin but the Ukraine & Baltic region are very complicated issues.
One might be wrong footed in supporting 1 side over the other, much like the US & other were backing ISIL over Assad 12 months ago.

“Confront?” It wasn’t really a confrontation, Putin gave monkey 10 minutes.

The compensation issue is directly relevant if monkey actually asked for compensation.
