It only encourages sloth. It's why we have beggars sprawled out untidily on the pavements in Sydney. Panhandlers. It should be illegal to toss them a few coins, which just perpetuates the problem of institutionalising them as street beggars. They even boast about how much money they make "on a good day" crapping up our streets to look Third World. We pay taxes to make sure our streets don't look shithouse with bums and stiffs laying about like human litter. Next time I go to town I'm taking a baseball bat with me. |
