ok, I made up another trial one today....

the topping is cream and smashed Honeycomb...



I was unsure how this was going to come out... I was thinking it would have a crunchy Honeycomb topping...

but I was wrong..

the honeycomb goes soft after a few hours after being exposed to air and the moist of the cream...

Excellent Outcome...  :)

each mouthful is a creamy caramel chocolate sensation together with the sweetness and texture of the pav crust and marshmallowy centre  ...

OMG.. sensational...  :)

this was my first one of the week..



strawberries and blueberries.. I left the green leaf on to make it look more xmasy...

what do you guys use?

i'll probably be sick of the sight of them by boxing day..  ;D

They both look sensational but the Christmas one could easily grace the cover of a cookbook.  Absolutely magnificent.

The honeycomb sounds good and got me thinking about crushed up Peppermint Crisps on top of the cream.  I may have to try that.

Kiwifruit is always a good topper as are raspberries (if you like raspberries).

I usually do what the kids dictate ie strawberries, blueberries and kiwifruit.  One of mine doesn't like bananas so I chop bananas individually into the bowls of those that like them.

to be honest im thinking of doing the same thing as you for MY family xmas dinner tomorrow but im just wondering if everyone else are doing something similar... peppermint crisp were running out in one super market yesterday..

but if I decide to do that, I would lay down the peppermint crisp first and then pop bits of cherry ripe on top of it to get the red cherry Christmas look on top of the green... :)

my stupid lovely mrs made chocolate ripple cake.. put the cherry ripe down first and then shredded peppermint crisp on top of it burying the cherry ripe so that you can barely see it..  ::)

Delicious!  I love chocolate covered honeycomb too.  Especially Crunchies.  The chocolate ripple cake sounds awesome.

worked a treat...

especially if you like the marsh mellow bit...

the bottom stays soft, lots of marshmellow, crusty top which can be a little fragile...

my sisterinlaw was sussing me out about how I made it and I was wondering why...I thought that maybe she didn't believe I made it or something  ;D.. but I found out that she tried to make one and it failed miserably...   

so I gave her my recipe, how to and to drop her temperature down in the oven as its fan forced which can't be turned off...
