Liberals only believe in sticking this state up with billion dollar toll roads we would've spent the next 56 years paying for. And the end result would've been increased traffic in the city, and destruction of royal park.

Just in case you missed everything, the ALP took the Liberals on this issue, and went to an ELECTION.  And the public voted and voiced their opinion.   

Now despite the fact that the Liberals know that they probably would not win the election, they still went ahead and put that rediculous exit clause that is going to cost the tax payers dearly RIGHT before the election!   Now, this is dirty politics, as it is stupid politics.  One designed to 'scare' the public into voting for the road project. 

If any thing, this waste of money is Liberal's fault.  And I hope some investigative journalist gets hold of the people who would be benefitting from this compensation.   And see how many of their 'mates' have their fingers in the honey pot.

they are the same companies the states all use and VIc will still us in the future, largely because almost all of them are in this contract.  the bigger risk is that Vic shafts the builders, there wont be many willing to ever work for Labor again.  Not that it matters because Abbott will simply withhold funding.

Because whilst you'll find a few sympathetic/ ungrateful school principals & also a sprinkling of unsuitable buildings I would wager the number closer to 100 rather than "1000's"

$70/hour is the lowest rate.

For a 3 hour meeting that nets the school  $210. Do that once a week Feb–Nov inclusive 44 weeks so $70 x 3 x 44 = $9000 for the year—the lowest rate for basic hall only.

Add in weekends, basic rate, one day a weekend

44 x $560 = $24,640

Gives $33K a year. In 3 years—$100K

This is all at the most basic rate, most all day functions will need the kitchen, chairs, tables etc.

Most schools were in the $100K range within a year or two.

Just go back and read the papers of the time.
