Title: Bush & Blair drew the right conclusions
Post by bogarde73 on Jan 23rd, 2015 at 1:41pm
As far as the main game is & was concerned they were right.
There is a War on or of Terror. It is the age-old conflict going back as far as the 16th and 17th century when Ottoman forces advanced to the gates of Vienna.
They wanted what the west had then and they want what the west has now.
This time however it is not an outright attempt at conquest but a game of infiltration. Occupation by migration.
Occupation followed by concerted efforts to mould the present society of the west, founded on the liberalism of the Enlightenment, into a model more to their preference. That is, a society which takes us all back to the way of life of 8th century barbarism.

Where Bush & Blair made a big mistake was the taking out of Sadaam Hussein. He was in fact a bulwark against the barbarians. He would brook no rubbish from these people, which the west should have seen was to its advantage.

Bush & Blair however do deserve our gratitude for alerting us to the threat that was emerging. It's just a pity that successive leaders, and especially the Quislings of Europe, didn't have the balls to follow through.

Or did it start in the 7th century when Christian Byzantine armies attacked Arab villages?

Or perhaps it started in the 11th century when Pope Urban declared a Holy War against Islam deciding to launch Catholic armies from Germany, France and Britain into the Middle East?

Did it start in the 15th century when Catholic fanatics from Portugal set out to Mecca in order to desecrate the grave of Islam's Prophet Muhammed? (not realising that he was actually buried hundreds of kilometres away in Medina)

Ah yes, long memories some people have...when it suits them that is.
