This verse says that your chest cavity gets smaller with higher altitude when in reality the opposite is true.

"Those whom allah (in His plan) willeth to guide,- He openeth their breast to Islam; those whom He willeth to leave straying,- he maketh their breast close and constricted, as if they had to climb up to the skies: thus doth allah (heap) the penalty on those who refuse to believe."


The author slipped up obviously negating the quran as coming from a god that is infallible..

No surprises I guess since the quran was thought up after mohammeds lifetime by people that never actually met him.

The verse is clearly metaphorical. It is a fact that when you climb high altitudes it *FEELS* like your chest is constricted.

It is quite obvious to anyone who exercises some common sense that it is not trying to explain what literally happens to your chest when you reach high altitudes - merely what it feels like.

I misunderstood when allah said through the human quran author (way after mohammeds death) : -

"he maketh their breast close and constricted, as if they had to climb up to the skies"

He really meant what you said and anyone that does not have muslim obvious commonsense is just plain stupid. Lucky we have you here to set us all straight on the qurans authors real meaning and commonsense
