Naming a member and alleging that they tried to 'hack' your account is extremely bad form and surely must breach the rules.
I do not believe that there is one grain of truth to your allegations. Just another of your continuing witch hunts. You missed your true calling. You would have been welcomed by the Gestapo. |

Nowhere do I allege any particular person tried to stuff around with my password. I am asking whether the attempt was closely linked in time to when a ban was imposed on Neferti. Now you are here, Black Orchid. You are an active Member elsewhere. Was there any comment made or Thread commenced by any mutual Member there and here about reprisal (or the like) on the basis that I was responsible for a ban of Neferti, or on some other basis? You, being the face of 'honest broker' here, I'm quite sure will be anxious to assist me and freediver/GMods sort out if there is other evidence suggesting who may have been responsible for the attempt to corrupt my password here. |
Title: Re: Glitch ~ or something more sinister. Post by Black Orchid on Feb 16th, 2015 at 3:52pm
I have seen absolutely nothing said about 'corrupting your password' here or elsewhere. I cannot imagine why anyone would bother. Your spy network is flawed.
Scrambling your allegations does not clean your hands. The allegations, insinuations and naming of a poster shows your clear intent. If it is not against the rules to accuse someone of hacking, it certainly should be. All you have to do is look at the time Neferti last posted which isn't even close to the time you allege someone attempted to 'hack' your account instead you chose to create yet another public drama about those who post at 'another forum'. Bad bad form. |

For example ~ I see that AiA has something in his new signature about 'dead meat.' Was there anything at PA about anyone being 'dead meat' after the banning of Neferti? |

How long do the posters here have to put up with these outrageous, slanderous defaming accusations, with not an ounce of proof? If it were true why was it not discussed via PM with mods instead of defaming a poster that can not even defend them self here ATM? This is pure slander.

Gee, I guess maybe freediver could have seen something along the lines of someone being 'dead meat.' That'd be very embarrassing for you Black Orchid, wouldn't it, especially if you actually posted in any Thread of that kind. Maybe Mantra saw something as well. Even Lisa Jones, even Super Nova, perhaps even AiA...who knows what they may have seen, and missed by you. All I know is that I received an email alerting me to the fact that someone was attempting to hack around my password here probably not long after Neferti became aware of her ban here. I was hoping you could assist me and the GMods in the matter. Maybe, any one of those others can. Cheers. |

I'm sure you would want to assist us all get to the bottom of who tried to stuff my password, and clear the air. Yeas? (Oh, by the way, Skippy...it is true that I received that email I have posted in the OP. The Mod Logs here probably also confirm that someone had a go at the password.) No-one is being slandered. You say you saw nothing elsewhere about anyone being 'dead meat' not too long after Neferti would have become aware of her ban here, and not too long after someone tried to hack my password. That's on the record. I have no idea if you are being honest so I'll assume you are as is only fair. Maybe frediver, skippy, AiA, Mantra, or Lisa Jones saw something you missed. Maybe even Neferti herself saw something. I don't know. But, I do know someone tried to stuff my account....hence the Thread. None of this would have any relevance apart from that fact. Aussie,
You are drama queening again. "A request was made by a visitor at Australian Politics Forum to reset your password. If you did not submit a request to reset your password, then please ignore this e-mail." The message was clear. It is sent to your registered email account for a reason... that is to protect your security. Anyone can do that for any account here. Why don't you do what is recommended in the email to you... that is... If you did NOT submit the request........... ignore this e-mail. Suggesting it is a named member or someone from another board is continuing your on-going vendetta to boost your every diminishing self esteem. Slagging off others with false accusations or at best innuendoes is just poor form. You damage your already sullied reputation with each attempt. This is not a genuine complaint or query. You need to understand the system performed it's function perfectly and that you should have just ignored the e-mail as it requested. |

It is the policy here not to discuss the other board here so in compliance with this policy I cannot confirm or deny activities on this other board. PM me and I can discuss... as per policy. I would hate to be non-compliant. You are clutching at straws. The email you got you have received before. The fact you make a big issue over it just brings it to everyone attention you don't like it and think it is a real threat and it would not surprise me that you will get more of them. Are you really and aussie. You don't act like one. Every troll on the net now knows this upsets you and anyone in the world can request your password reset so don't complain when you get more of them... you dumpty and you will never know who requested it. |

Why is anyone even entertaining the idea of responding to these claims that a troll was caught trolling and attempting to ruin the life of a member of this forum? Why would you stick up for some one like that? It just means you condone what she did and maybe you too should be shown the door as well, because in future we could be discussing a transgression by you of this very same nature- maybe that makes you a risk as well?

It cannot be used to "hack". it is being done probably because they know you think it is a hacking attempt. Why can't you listen for once and be told. I can only conclude you are drama queening to cause fear and doubt and to hurt a members reputation. I don't have a problem with you being IT illiterate, we all know that. (You reckon I don't listen, yet not too long ago I told you I would not PM you because of your track record of using PMs as a base for your very clever forgeries.) Anyway...by way of summary: 1. Someone tried to stuff around with my password here. 2. That was very near in time to when Neferti would have become aware of her ban from here. (Might be totally unconnected.) 3. I am aware (unless I am being deceived) that within 24 hours of that ban, a Thread was commenced elsewhere titled 'Aussie is dead meat." 4. Black Orchid was an active participant in it. (Despite her stupid denials here.) 5. The Thread centered on the banning of Neferti here. 6. The ban of Neferti was stated to be my doing ~ amazingly so, because it was Neferti who posted the personal details of a Member here, not me. 7. Black Orchid posted in that Thread (the one she lied about not seeing) that she could not understand what possessed Neferti to post that Member's personal details. 8. In that Thread, Neferti attempted to excuse her posting of that Member's private details....contrary to her stupid denial here that she had posted those details. 9. AiA (to his marginal credit.....) expressed his view that to do what Neferti had done was asking for trouble. He failed to condemn Neferti for doing it. 10. Contrary to what was posted here, that Thread was up from the 10th February, until yesterday. It was not 'up' briefly. 11. Many posts were made condemning me.......as though it was me who posted private information 12. That Thread was commenced by Neferti. 13. Super Nova, yesterday/today (he is in a different time zone,) removed it.....and posted that while he tried to archive it, he might have stuffed up and actually deleted it. 14. SN posted "You run a forum and I know you are more technically savvy and know this is not a hack..... or even an attempt at one." Fact is....it was a a hack 'attempt,' made by an idiot who thought by doing so, they'd access my account. 15. Neither freediver/GMods here give an obvious fig about the attempt by someone to stuff my account here. |

I just saw the "new post" red flag and went in. So what? There's nothing at all wrong with what I said yet you keep attacking and dragging me into your perpetual petty PA dramas. Your OP was created to assassinate Neferti but you have since brought in SN, AIA and myself and you wonder why you had to beg people here to vote for you at the last PA election. A forum they knew nothing about and had no affiliation with. If they didn't wonder why you needed total strangers to vote for you they might have a fair idea now. What you are doing now doesn't even scratch the surface of the abuse and petty kangaroo courts you subjected PA to for years on end. Please leave me out of your petty vendettas and dramas. |

I really don't care what you say, because I already know the answer. I PMd a mod about this outrageous accusation fifteen hours ago and all this is still here.
SO... 1 this is another Aussie lie, he has no evidence Nef hacked his account as he accused her of and I openly call for this to be removed and Aussie banned. 2- It has nothing to do with PA if somone did attempt to access Aussies account it was here, nothing to do with PA, and Aussie is YET again attempting to bring down PA with his petty school yard bully tactics with the gang of three. 3- if this really occurred why did Aussie come out on forum with it? Why didn't he PM the mods like he was supposed to do? I'll tell you why because he wanted to try and paint Nef in a bad light and throw more mud at PA. Freediver, I PMd one of your mods four pages ago to get this unsubstantiated accusation removed but as you see they did sweet ... This thread will turn into another fourteen pages of Aussies he said she said and it was said over there crap while the whole time if what he said was true a PM to mods here could have sorted it out. This is why Aussie and co are permanently banned from the forum they stalk. Aussie, do not attempt to engage with me here again I have no intention of engaging with your fantasies or answering your questions about anything. It is none of your business what occurs elsewhere. I wrote this post with the intention of bringing it to the whole forums attention that if your accusations were real why did you not report this to admin and mods? You have refused to answer that as you are more interested in your petty little games. |

Whoever fed this information to Aussie should have known how much trouble this would cause.
Aussie I defended your permanent banning and sometimes defend you when I see a comment which is unreasonable, but I certainly wouldn't transfer private information from PA to you. Whoever did it was an idiot or else extremely clever and knew exactly what they were doing. You do realise that a few members will be under suspicion now. For what - because you received an email asking whether you needed a new password? Big deal. It happens to some people. The thread contained no threats - just a whinge. I've had more than my share of threads denigrating me and someone as seasoned as you shouldn't even think twice about it. At least do the right thing and say publicly that it wasn't me. I think you do betray people's confidences - simply because whoever passed this information on to you probably didn't expect you to splatter it all over this board. You've betrayed their confidence. This means that your informant won't get a second chance and more members will be excluded from PA because of this. You would also do the same if you were an admin or moderator over there. My account was hacked when you were admin at PA. It's been hacked here. Skippy's was hacked here too. Hacking happens on these boards, but when you start dragging other people into your problems - it causes dissension and suspicion is plonked on innocent people also. |

1. No confidence has been or will be betrayed. It is as simple as that. 2. This is the first time (covering a period well in excess of ten years) anyone has tried to stuff around with/get access to/hack my password, and I want it looked into, just like you did when you believed someone had been tampering with your account. My situation is a little different in that I am able to produce the evidence (the email) in support of my concern. 3. I have no idea if freediver can establish who was responsible, but if he can, then I'd anticipate that person would be given a very long vacation from here. 4. The air would be cleared if the person who tried to get at my password accepted responsibility for it, rather than allow others to be suspected. |

Aussie has NEVER betrayed a confidence- no matter how you spin it- that has never happened. The problem is as I see it- he was banned from PA for no reason- none- but unless you had been banned permanently you wouldnt understand. Its not just a few months. In that place you all discuss him knowing he has no right of reply- it doesnt worry me- I know you all talk about me - my attitude is "how bored are they- who cares"? Some dont see it that way. So if Aussie has an informant , then so what-? If you ban him and then continue to discredit him behind closed doors then expect this- thats how I see it. Skippy has shut the place down because he banned 3 pp who have been members there forever- he is a very bad admin and takes the easiest no brainer option because he has no brains- He has caused this problem. There is no need to impose permanent bans on pp- it shows no imagination no courage, you may as well have put IQ in charge.
YOU ALL KNOW BETTER than to discuss a person who is banned.. if you do and give no right of reply- this happens and you just have to put up with it- until you all learn to respect the rights of other pp. >:( 8-) [smiley=dankk2.gif] LEARN!!!! >:( |

No cods, once again you have missed the point. Revenge has zero to do with it. People from elsewhere are in a direct position to assist in providing information which, when put together with whatever the software here indicates, might allow freediver to accurately identify who tried to access my password (and if they had succeeded, they would have had complete control of the 'Aussie' account.)
Did you not notice how many times, and for how long, people from elsewhere did everything but answer my question which was quite simple ~ "at about the time Neferti would have become aware of her ban here, did anyone over there make a post or start a Thread about anyone being dead meat?" (I knew the answer was, yeas. Neferti commenced a Thread titled 'Aussie is dead meat,' and then proceeded, in her opening posts, to explain that I was 'dead meat' because she had been banned from here, and I had done that. The Thread had about 6/7 pages when Super Nova - a Mod there - tried to hide it but thought that in his attempt to do so, he may have unintentionally deleted it altogether. Gee, I wonder why he wanted to hide it cods. Do you?) |

The simplest response to all this crap I think is to make the matter an external issue.
Hacking an account is a serious legal issue, hence make it an external legal matter. The person who, at face value at any rate, has been wronged in this, is Aussie, some scum bag decided to try to hack is account - allegedly. The only purpose I see by making that a public issue on the board is a heads up warning about the potential for people to try and hack your (everyone of you) system at a whim. I don't really care who the poster was at the end of the day. This would become a matter for the police and ultimately the site owner and or provider, ie. FD and whoever he purchased his right to use this board from. This is pretty simple stuff people. The ensuing shyte fight though is all old enmities that constantly bubble over and spring up. The thing not many seem to recognise is the escalation to a much more serious idea. The lack of integrity shown here is appalling by such a wide range of people it is utterly astounding. Of course, some are no surprise what so ever. |

Aussie it's an old trick. It could have been done by anyone. If you remember when you reinstated my account on the other board after my long, long ban, it took all day and FD had to eventually intervene. Every time I got a new password sent to me - someone was a bit quicker and tried to access my log in. At that time it wouldn't have been any of those people who you might believe did this to you and I was fairly certain it was someone from your team. As I didn't know for sure - I dropped the matter. You will never know who played the same trick on you. Your account wasn't hacked - someone tried to log in obviously knowing full well that you would get a letter and it would stir things up. Who that person is - I wouldn't have a clue, but there is no harm done at the end of the day. |

In my very virgin days on Internet Forums years ago, I asked that question, and I'll never ask it again....because the quick response was: "A brain." What you are missing cods is the entire point. Someone ineptly tried to stuff my password here. If they had not been beaten off by routine software, they would now be posting as 'Aussie,' and I'd be floundering around trying to get word back to here that my account was hi-jacked. I want to know who did that so that appropriate action can be taken. To that end, I have asked people who have knowledge of what is posted elsewhere about "Aussie is dead meat" what they saw, (given I am banned from that place) so that information can be also be taken into account by freediver. Only he would have access to all the software data (for example....in the Forum Logs) here which would help detect the culprite. Every little bit helps, yeas? But......because people from elsewhere became worried that elsewhere, they would be regarded as a 'snitch,' the thing went off on a tangent (aided by you) about who it might have been who told me the truth. There are people who actually do hold truth as a pretty important part of integrity. There are others who would prefer to attempt to hide it just to remain part of the Secret Squirrel's clan/tribe. You chose to concern yourself with that latter irrelevancy..............thus, missing the point, which is: Someone (ineptly) tried to hack into my password here with the intent of completely taking over the 'Aussie' account. |

Cods.....I'm not going to attack you. That does not mean you are not posting sheer garbage. In your case, I'd rather keep my keyboard relatively inactive rather than be rude to you apart from saying this:
1. FD needs to know. 2. Members here are entitled to be assured that FD/GMods will do all they can to protect privacy and security of accounts, and that includes trying to discover who may be breaching privacy and attempting to break into accounts. 3. Members here are entitled to know if any other Member's account has been attacked, successfully or otherwise. 4. Any attempt to side-track those issues with irrelevancies about who told me the truth is completely non-productive. |

Title: Re: Glitch ~ or something more sinister. Post by BachToTheFuture on Feb 17th, 2015 at 10:33pm Come on everyone, let's just be friends and make this a warm and fuzzy place to be, shall we? Let's do 3 things we like about each other, stop this getting too aggro. I'll start. Aussie - you're fastidious and have fine attention to detail. Good work getting people to back up their facts on other threads, too. Cods - you're (generally) one of the few nice people around here, always stick up for the underdog and often have an interesting viewpoint to share. See? This is a happier place already. |

I think posters such as cods and Phemanderac are spot on. Do you have the police report number yet Mr Aussie? Our boys in blue will be straight onto this. thanks be to Phemanderac and cods for recognising the legalities of this type of terrorism (should this be reported to the terrorism authorities as well??) This seems to have effected you badly and you along with some others are incapable of thinking straight.
Please keep the viewers informed of your next step Aussie. Cn you advise when Freediver has sent you an official response? I'm sure that many like myself are on the edge of our seats waiting to see the host jumping at your fake painted on shadows. |

This seems to have really bothered Aussie. its no wonder he feels unsafe! Perhaps yourself and Phemanderac can provide witness statements to the police?
Maybe Phemanderac can ask the good officers if they are able to spare a few of their best IT and CSI people to stake out the servers and warn of any nasty blinking lights? He seems like he is knowledgable on what is lawful and what isn't. I suspect he may have a background in one of the services. |

Aussie, you have been totally evasive throughout all this. You have also seen fit to throw both Mantra and myself to a pack of ravenous multi flamers and trolls over yonder. As if that wasn't enough, you have seen fit to sit here and allow your forum as well as its Mod to be relentlessly trolled & ridiculed. Do you now understand why I am angry with you? I am also very upset with you right now. Watching this cringeworthy topic hasn't been easy for me. Why? It's bringing you and this forum into disrepute. You need to stop posting & start modding. Cmon, get this otherwise awesome forum back on track. Lock up those threads which have been done to death. Start afresh. I am trying hard here to be helpful even though I am very angry & upset with you. That alone should tell you all you need to know. Oh and one last thing, please don't think for one moment Nef is having an easy time over yonder. I have been ripping into her BIG time for stuffing up over here. Nef knows she has been banned from OzPol for multiple offences and for that, she has lost both her modship & her ability to post here again.ii |

But also, I'd be interested to hear how this "mystery source" found out that someone had "attempted to hack" the Aussie account. While I'm no InfoSec boffin, AFAIK it's normally quite difficult to prove if you've actually been hacked. I especially doubt whether a ... er... low end ... setup would have much in the way of digital tripwires. Finally, for Clive's sake Aussie -- if you're worried about being hacked, change your password. This is teh interwebz. Login with HTTPS and change your password to something long, using both upper- and lower-case letters, numbers, and symbols. And make sure you don't have any spyware on your computer. |

Just as a matter of interest Dame Pansi.....concerning a comment made somewhere here by Black Orchid ~ a banning does not happen accidentally, by mistake or in error. More than a couple of quite deliberate steps have to be taken with the software PA uses. There are several consecutive buttons to be pressed before a ban is finally imposed. It is not a matter of just hit one button and then declare ~ 'Oops.......made a boo boo there.' Even if it was as simple as that, it is easily reversed. Someone banned you very deliberately. What nick did I have next? Can’t remember—Naffy and IQ will know ;D ;D ;D Then settled on St George for some weird reason already lost in the mist of time. Jovial Monk was my first Nick back in 2006-7 on Kevin Rudd Sucks: Crikey did a column on KRS so I had a look and joined. Man that was fun! I got an intimation that there was a Forum run by a Deepthought and when the students owning KRS let the registration lapse me and Celly and Lefty and Howard Stinks jumped to the Sheep Pen. Me and Lefty got banned by DeepshiT as I like to call the creep and with Howard Stinks and Celly jumped to PA. Deepshit then desperately tried to get me and Lefty back. Idiot wouldn’t even let me rejoin as JM—he had hacked my account there, lowest of the low action so I told him to drop dead. DeepshiT tried a bit longer to get Lefty back, it got pretty pathetic the emails he sent. Eventually, after getting Aussie elected Admin of PA, he gave me a permanent ban as a result. Not very nice. I set up my board, my copy of PA and object of futile hate by the trolls ever since, but did go back. When there was an early election after Aussie got dumped Sappho who had returned as Monkey Magic got unbanned and made the Admin candidate. The slimeball boxy left me banned—and he has the hide to call Aussie autocratic. He is a sad character, thinks he is good but is a slimebag. I set up a million socks and posted during the day, then the anti–democratic and autocratic boxhead would ban my sock when he returned home from work. Boxy says my board is the pit of sh!t, HAH! I then set up the Maxine sock, let AnnieLaurie have it for a day to put on the dress and makeup and took it back. boxy agreed to let it live, banned it on day two. Some flipping hero. Got unbanned AFTER the election. Got sick of the place, came back twice to try to get Aussie elected. There is absolutely NOTHING of any worth left. for goodness sake skippy the dud kangaroo is Admin there! |

Don't blame Neferti George unless you know for sure. Yes it's irritating when someone pranks you like this - but there are a few others who might be tempted to do it too.

Title: Re: Glitch ~ or something more sinister. Post by mantra on Feb 19th, 2015 at 8:01am
The accounts aren't being hacked - someone without a password is trying to access them and this triggers off the email. It's reasonable security as most people don't have passwords to anyone else's email and accessing a new Ozpolitic password from the email is the only way they can get into an account, unless they're admin or a global moderator.

It is almost too funny to read this thread. Sadly, it's funny cause it's more than a bit sad....
Some grubby poster suggested Aussie needs help, in part I agree, although not the help that the grubby poster suggested... The only help Aussie really needs, at face value, is to extricate himself from his care/concern about how a forum can devolve, it is the nature of things it would seem. Of course, on the other hand, Aussie may not require any assistance at all and all of this might merely represent on some level word games to Aussie as well... However, since he does seem a bit "stuck" regarding at least one devolving forum - it might be good for him to be able to just let it go, in the long run. Those he has set himself against are far too thick skinned and headed he is doomed to ongoing failure and frustration.... Thick of skin - so no insult, observation or fact can impact them. Thick of head - so no insult, observation or fact can impact them. Further, from my experience, a significant number lack moral fortitude, integrity, honesty or decency, at least as the incarnations they present of themselves online. To be honest, they could not possibly be any facsimile of who they present to be in forums, they would, in all honesty, not have progressed to or succeeded into adulthood. Hence it is all just a nasty, childish, cowardly and stupid game, at least to them. The legal term is internet bullying in reference to the behaviors consistently demonstrated by the righteous few.... and it is ably facilitated and enabled by the frame work they are granted free permission to play in. It is also facilitated/enabled by apathy. |

A couple of home truths for y'all... 1. Cods, you are a whinging dried up lonely old woman who gives Monk a run for his money as a whiny old woman. The last time you fanny farted was Australia's biggest dust storm. 2. A.G, you're a psycho troll with mental and emotional issues from when your daddy molested you. Get help...or you could just stop rooting your dad. You should have your kids taken from you. 3. Monk/George, you re a raving queen. Never married, no woman in your life except your dogs and your mother. You have a head that looks like Rumplestiltskin was bashed with an ugly stick. 4. Aussie, drama queening little bitch. Your bitterness is delicious. It can make VB seem like passion pop. Toodles cuuunts :D |

I didn't say you were the mole. Someone has already admitted to it - so the matter is over. AG - I've always been a bit careful with my words - that's how I am. Just because I haven't got a short fuse and scream abuse at people doesn't mean they don't get the message. You were absent for years and people have changed and moved on from past squabbles. A lot of the accusations you throw out at various members are so far from the truth that a lot of the time it's just downright offensive. I like you too, but it's a pity you read too much in my comments. One moment you'll be pleasant and friendly and next you are saying some horrible things. You say what you believe people are thinking and you get it wrong most of the time. They are your thoughts - not mine, not Skippy's or anyone else whose mind you choose to read. |

You were banned for good reason. You chose to spread lies about the place and the members there chose to remove you as they don't want to post along side the likes of you. You're not wanted by a large majority. It was not my choice, we had a vote and only two members chose to support your presence there, mantra was one of them. But out of nineteen members that PMd me or openly voted on forum only two said they supported you all being there. I am over your lies so intend to correct them from now on. So stop your snivelling you're not liked or respected there, like you're becoming here. |

Thicko, I don’t care. I got banned all the time by AiA for opposing his cruddy moves.
Anything I have said about PA is true. You have become a real snivelling little whiner. Some facts about the sh!thole Thicky pretends to Admin: 1. IQ did taunt me for three years about me rooting my current dog and my years–dead chihuahua. SN joined in the taunting as Bizarro Monk 2. IQ did search and found some photos of me on the Aussie Home Brewer forum. .He shared these with whover wanted them 3. IQ did defame me as a pedophile “using opiates as a date drug” 4. AiA did lie about Annie sharing her PA account. This was just a curtain raiser 5. AiA did publish and leave posted about 15 PMs AnnieLaurie had sent him thinking the snake was a friend. FD did not cover himself when he left the PMs in the thread. 6. SN did use a photo of a home unit Aussie owned as avatar 7. AiA is using avatars here to try and provoke me into abusing him. Probably a lot more if you want me to have a good think about it. Gutless little dud! PA is NOT safe! |

A couple of time tested quotes Mantra " lay down with dogs and you will get up with fleas " and this will stick with you "like sh1t to a blanket" and here is one more "if you don't stand for something , you will fall for anything". |
