Title: " .... as World awaits arrival of new Royal Baby"

Is it just me? I couldn't give a rat's arse about her having another baby the taxpayer has to feed for the rest of its life.

"...  as World awaits arrival of new Royal Baby".

You'd think it was The Second Coming the 'World' was 'waiting' for.

It's a media event that sells a lot of commercial advertising time for a great deal of money.

That's it.

It's nothing more.

Jesus. Get a grip you media people.

No, it is me too Walter, but we are in the huge minority.

Not at all.

At this moment the World awaits arrival of new laws that put a stop to this expensive and archaic Royal Circus that has more clowns in it than good performers.

(It's the Irish blood in me that's talking).

I don't think we ARE

The media make a lot of assumptions in these areas - and it all makes for effortless padding
The same could be said for seemingly endless sports coverage being passed off as ''news''

Well, you can understand that Kate is model material. It's likely that she could push out a future supermodel type daughter, assuming that her baby is a girl. It's not all that common that royalty has good looking children. Had I been the sperm donor, it's very possible that 20 years from now, the paparazzi would be going crazy trying to get the next cover photo of both Woman's Day and Penthouse (with some fantasy clause written). That's unless the Brits get their act together and tackle Muslim extremists. Otherwise, it's head to toe covering of the next royal princess.

Yes, that's the key word : Assumptions.

"The World is waiting for ...  "

That's taking journalistic licence too far.

Next thing they'd be telling us that a new Star of Bethlehem had been spotted moving slowly across the firmament in the direction of Buckingham Palace where a stable had been set up with a cradle and straw on the earthen floor in one of the garden tool-sheds (because there was no room in the palace this night).

She Who Must be Obeyed ...

Okay .. I'll haul my bulk out into the street here and start an "Oyez! Oyez!" about this Second Coming having arrived this morning.

You're a hopeless romantic, codsey. If it wasn't for You Women the whole Royal Circus would have been dismantled years ago.

I only get excited by 'Blacks on the Rampage' and such Headlines nowadays.

I am Very Excited about the new baby (a lovely princess!) and I couldn't possibly care less what anyone else thinks.

Little George is such a cutie and I'm sure his baby sister will follow suit.

Excellent news.

In a hostile world, it is so good to listen to people wax lyrical about the birth of the Princess. This can only send our good karma. :)

I like Elizabeth Diana Victoria, shortened to Beth or maybe Eliza to distinguish her from granny. My first preference was Victoria Diana but she might get Vicky and that's not regal at all.

well George was the last name I would have picked..so maybe they will go back to that era.. and use Mary even..

not many of the kings were named/Christened " George".

but most Queens used their given names..

I hadn't thought of Mary - a solid choice.

What about Mildred? "George and Mildred" has a nice ring to it.

The $1 billion baby. That's what estimate has been put on her in terms of her value to the UK economy.

That's in tourism, media value, fashion spin-offs as she gets older etc.

Whoever said the Royal Family wasn't worth having.
Herb I think it was. Oh well he's Irish, they'd rather kill them.

Mary's a Papist Catholic name, so we can cancel that one immediately.

How about Boadicea? She might one day restore the British Isles back to the local indigenes.

You're probably right.

I confess I already knew the Royal Family pulls in far more tourist dollars than it costs for the taxpayers to support their horrible fish-bowl life-style.
