Title: Greens Senator arrested!
Post by longweekend58 on Jul 2nd, 2015 at 7:23pm
I do not think that the focus on national security and the ABC’s Q&A program has been good for the government. According to ReachTEL, the Coalition only leads Labor by 52.6-47.4 on national security - a weak result for the Coalition given all the attention they have devoted to this issue. The electorate may think that the Coalition has gone over the top on national security, or Labor’s bipartisanship could have convinced many that Labor would do a reasonable job. ReachTEL used a forced choice wording on national security; polls with an undecided option would probably have the Coalition further ahead.

On the ABC, last week’s Essential, taken before Zaky Mallah’s Q&A appearance, found that 63% had at least some trust in ABC TV, and 58% in ABC radio. While these trust numbers are down 4-6 points on November 2014, the ABC still has more trust than the News Ltd publications as reported in this week’s Essential.

A question on political commentators in the media found that 71% had at least some trust in Laurie Oakes, 51% in Tony Jones, 38% in Andrew Bolt and 29% in Alan Jones. Alan Jones and Bolt had high name recognition, with 80% recognising Jones and 65% Bolt, but low trust ratings.

In summary, it is likely that the Coalition would have benefited more from Labor’s problems over the last fortnight, but the Coalition’s anti-ABC rhetoric does not appeal to the general public.

EXPLANATION:
given the tendency of greens_lie to make up unrelated thread titles to his usually pointless threads, I thought I would do the same.

Would anyone else like to make up a totally false thread heading to greens_lose wont feel alone?

It was an odd thread from LW, best hold out , I am sure there is more to the story than the total failures from the Libs , apart from him giving an open invitation to take the piss out of him  :D which was in true right winger tradition I must add  ;D Thanks Longy, gladly reciprocated  ;)

Yeah, good on you Longweekend.
Give them some of their own medicine.

The Australian Greens have been , without a doubt, the most destructive force ever to enter australian politics.

Whereas the democrats did try to be people of principle, the greens and their 8 % idiotic supporters have done untold damage to this nation.

1 we would have had a workable ETS but for the greens
2 we would have had cheaper electricity and some sort of competitive advantage in manufacturing but for the greens.
3 the greens have been a disaster for the rural sector and the tourist sector (our only 2 growth sectors)
4 they have shot mining in the foot and ruined our international reputation as an energy exporter
5 they are responsible for the detention centre and boats fiasco.
6  they have taken the light off the important issues and focused it on non issues like gay marriage.

Its time for australia to wisen up and see them for the white ants they are.
They contribute nothing, do nothing, risk nothing, stand for nothing.

They will never change as they have zero emotional maturity and social intelligence.

Just awful people , have been a cancer in australian politics for too long

They trash talk coal non stop (one of our biggest export earners)
They got the new coal export facility at gladstone almost financially ruined with their crazy requirement to put the dredgings on dry land (this was a very expensive waste of money against a project approved by Bligh).
They close down industry in cape york (in this case a fight with Beattie (labor) and the local indigenous groups) with their wild rivers nonsense.
Both Howard and Rudd proposed an ETS but they wouldnt work with either and we got the on again , off again carbon tax debacle which was disastrous for business, and would have cost billions in lost investment due to greens induced uncertainty.

Business cant work with green groups.
Could you imagine business working with people with the mentality of greenswin.
They'd have one teleconference and say "WTF", we'll just invest our money in brazil, south africa or russia or india.
Business wont deal with emotional toddlers  ;) ;)

that was lame.  Rudd was knifed because he was dropping the polls, something that hadnt happened the previous 2 years until Abbott came on the scene.  Likewise, GIllard was knifed because abbott was murdering her in the polls.

its hard for you to realise how good Abbott is at the game called politics.  and he has flogged your side of the tracks for nearly 6 years.

so the best you can do is to come up with an unsubstantiated OPINION??

I dont know why I expected better.

neither do I ... afterall, you only ever offer opinion

Most successful opposition in history? how can you tell? all the other oppositions that won govt. didn't really win?

Destroyed 3 pm's? say who? you? Gillard destroyed rudd and he in turn destroyed her back. Even when he beat Rudd the second go around Gillard had already done all the work required for him.

Pushed labor to worst result? Actually, I think labor where driving that themselves. You could have had anyone else as leader of the LNP, including Palmer and still won office.

best you can do longdopeyone?  :D :D

that was lame.  Rudd was knifed because he was dropping the polls, something that hadnt happened the previous 2 years until Abbott came on the scene.  Likewise, GIllard was knifed because abbott was murdering her in the polls.

its hard for you to realise how good Abbott is at the game called politics.  and he has flogged your side of the tracks for nearly 6 years.

lame my arse ..

If your claim was true Abbott would have been replaced a week after winning office  ;D ;D

he destroyed your lot and left you with.... SHORTEN!!!!

IM still laughing that the only person that could have less charisma is not yet in parliament... and you made him LEADER!!!

Indeed.

Even up against the inept Shorten, Abbott still looks like a dismal failure.

dream on.  Abbott will win comfortably.

That's what you said about Newman......then disappeared for six months.

Please go away for six months when Abbott loses.

Maybe he could write an essay on it or something?

you certainly have low goals. We are waiting to enjoy the spectacle of Shorten admitting abbott was right about boat turnbacks all along!
