A lovely new addition to our team, please make Maria feel welcome here. Maria comes from Sydney and displays a keen interest in politics and this great country of ours.

We all enjoy a rather robust debate here, leftards, but keep in mind that Maria is new and is still learning who everyone is. I’m sure she’ll fit in well.

Remember, Maria, you don’t have to be crazy to come here,, but it helps!

Personally, as an impoverished Aged Pensioner bachelor living in a Caravan Park downwind from Sydney's Tempe Municipal Dump - I've been on the lookout for a cashed-up North Shore widow to lighten my burden, so to speak.

I had hoped codsey-baby would be my ticket out of here, but after interviewing her in my 1950's Winnebago caravan for the position of de facto wife and financial sponsor of my every worldly need - it transpired that she's as bankrupt as I am, and so I had to personally escort her off the site in order to protect her from the predations of the druggies, the feral kids, and the American Pit Bull Terriers that infest this flea-pit and den of iniquity that reeks 24/7 of the city's mountains of garbage.

And then I spotted Maria's silver tongue and clipped accent hereabouts, and immediately my hopes have soared to new heights of Happy Expectation that all may not yet be lost in my Quest to winkle out from the Bejeweled Upper Classes a mate that might serve my pecuniary purposes.

Welcome to the Board, Maria.

'Maria' is only like you are or were in just one way. Otherwise you are or never were like her. 'She' can at least (badly) express a view using more than a handful of sentences and without the use of an emoticon, even though she does so in contradictory terms and with dishonest assertions of fact.

As I said, you are like her in just one way ~ you each are flakes.

Yia sou - hello/goodbye (singular)

Yia sas - hello/goodbye (plural). NB. This form is also used for formal singular occasions ie when addressing someone older/senior/in authority to show them respect.

I use "yia sas" all the time....irrespective of who I am addressing. It's my way of showing others that I think highly of them and respect them.
