Anyway, so something went wrong with the OzPol site yesterday at some stage.

I wasn't online (had a shocker of a bloody day) so I obviously missed all the drama.

It would have been nice if FD had left a message or warning about PA closing, but he doesn't owe anyone anything and can close his forums anytime he feels like it without notice. Ozpolitic has a better chance of surviving than PA though.

It has not been closed.  One file has corrupted somehow and that needs to be rebuilt by FD's server crowd.  He has taken no action himself to close PA, and is doing what he can through Hostgator to get it fixed.

If he did close it why would that be a bad thing- it has been struggling with credibility issues for years.Its just a place to loosen your bowels once a day- a handful of decent posters who are corrupted and over run by those who use it as a laxative. PA died a few years ago now.

Considering you claim to have at least six different IDs who would know what your real life details were. OzPol Feedback is hardly the place to raise issues on some other Forum.  I don't mind it here, but yev got quite a hide to raise it in a place like Feedback (intended to discuss matters of concern at OzPol) especially where OzPol members have been banned from.

When you put it like that it would indicate that he doesnt care about PA at all- after all it was only a place for dumpling to play- he was the only one who was protected there from the moment he turned up, why I will never know.- he drove so many potential new posters out- we were told to all harden up and learn to appreciate our freedoms there- freedom to abuse back when we were attacked just out of the blue.. when he started on FD ( maybe a step too far I think ) I as a member from the inception of that place, was locked out of Conf. because I didn't have the required 300 posts ( when in fact I had thousands since 2007 )- it was laughable and yet I could not be bothered complaining because I didnt care enough- what was I missing out on in there.?  The only members there that held any interest to me also post here.

I had the guts to ban the arsehole because I knew it was the only way.  You and those who just loved his presence, including AiA, boxy and skippeee let him back in and that meant everyone else left over time.

But.....I doubt that has anything to do with the current problem, which, as you say, I think can be fixed if there is a back up (skippeeee will have done that for certain) or if the corrupted file is re-built.  I doubt FD can do that as it is probably at server level.

I hope it is restored and given a chance to rise out of the lowest level of any sewer ever seen.

Exactly, Mantra and I agree with you.  Others have PMd Freediver and been ignored and that is why ... as one who still has access to Feedback ... posted what I did.  The only reply has been from the OP who asked me whether I had a functioning PM facility. I do but Freediver isn't and rarely does, take notice of PMs.

He stopped being a novelty a long time ago Aussie. I don't know if PA was backed up. I'm fairly sure you backed it up during your time as EL, but since then - it depends if anyone  bothered.

Not one post has been deleted, as FD can confirm.  At no (oh .....recent time......SN gave me an old one ages ago) time have I ever had that password, and Lisa at no time ever did I post that Lisa gave it to me.  In fact, she posted that she had not.  Are you really, really pissed?

Let's see all those others you refer to come out and support you.  Lisa, if she comes along, will confirm the truth which is....she did not give me the password.

Its fairly likely that there is an informant in PA that has allowed Aussie in to take a look. I haven't had access for a long time so that's me out- but someone in there is enabling Aussie- the question is who? Nef, IQ, etc?
