I don't wish ill on the team, but I am not sure this is appropriate.

If you look at Chinese-Australian relations, currently;

You have the FTA which is causing problems with the public

You have the NSW parliament discussing Falun Gong which is causing problems

You have the federal government attempting to misuse US policy and take aim at the Chinese military in the South China Sea

You had the protesters invade the consulate in Sydney

Clearly, there is a problem with Australian-Chinese relations at more than just a government level. And then this happens

This is diplomatic. In a war with China, USA and Japan are one and the same. By attacking Japan in this manner, it helps increase diplomatic efforts with the USA. Namely, because Japan and China have issues going back before WW2, including the war, and sex slavery and invasions, and other such things.

A common issue Korea also has with Japan. Which is why Korea is used diplomatically to engage with China. Korean public sentiment is very anti Japanese.

And now Australia is in trouble. And unable to be a significant force multiplier in a war. So it is militarily and diplomatically irrelevant.

Curious to know how the Chinese government is backing this entry into the race.  Officially they may not be, may not be able to, but to think the Chinese government isn't using this to showcase the country is naive.

The Australian and Chinese government are having problems with each other.

Of course the crew would have the wishes of the Chinese government in mind and would be aware of the situation and that they are officially-unofficially representing the PRC.

Yes, of course the crew has the "wishes of the Chinese government" but I suspect the ties to the government are much more than just good wishes.

I agree with that statement and I thought I put forward that point in my previous post.

Soft diplomacy. Attack on the integrity of an internationally protected person. Rest of your life.

Chinese culture is devoid of the distinction of "fair play," a familiar concept in Anglosphere. Who knows what resources the Chinese government has funneled to this yacht crew.

I don't know what that means.

But I know you attacked the entire Chinese culture and way of life of all Chinese people. Including those who live here and in places such as Malaysia.

And I was clarifying that perhaps you lack an understanding of what Chinese people are like.

Germany is full of Germans. During the Cold War it was partitioned.

There were political differences. And a shared culture.

If your attitude was the attitude of policy makers, the world would be constantly at war with no room for negotiation, because you can't trust those who are always working to undermine you or those who you think, due to cultural upbringing, are unable to be worked with.

You know nothing of Chinese culture.

Even communism proclaims in the mindset equality for all. Which isn't Chinese. But is the system in mainland China.

If you keep going I will defend communism. Do you want me to defend communism?

You also called me a Chinaman.

This is presently being escalated with foreign intelligence agencies.

Your life literally has the potential to be destroyed over this.

You know exactly who you are interfering with and what you are getting involved in.

No further warnings will be given.

This can destroy your life.

They might want something better than a TP52 if they want to finish better than mid fleet.

The mid sized 50ft racers go Ok if conditions prevail.
Who led the fleet for the first 2 days this year on handicap? Yep  8-)
A 50 will not win Overall but on Hcp the 50s do Ok until it picks up.Needs moderate winds and a few lulls along the way and a 50 will go close.
