AUBURN deputy mayor Salim Mehajer has vowed to sue over allegations he threatened Lindt siege survivor Joel Herat’s father­ earlier this month.

Mr Mehajer also urged Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull to reform laws to “protect high-profile politicians from harmful allegations”, Nine News reported last night.

Mr Mehajer, who attracted attention after his wedding closed down an Auburn street without council approval, ­released a statement vowing to sue Bruce Herat, 52, and Anytime Fitness at Burwood.

Personal trainer Mr Herat claims Mr Mehajer threatened to “find out where you live and have your kids kidnapped” after he was asked to stop dropping weights inside the gym on September­ 16.

Mr Mehajer has denied the claims and refused to step aside as deputy mayor. His statement said he wanted to stay on to “give hope” to other high-profile politicians who had been the subject of harmful allegations.

Mr Mehajer’s phone was last night answered by a man calling himself “Salim’s assistant” who said Mr Mehajer would respond to media requests by email only.

I warned in my partial auto-bio that while the police and courts were running around fitting up Aussie yobs in boy racer cars, and getting their rocks off on 'law and order' by beating up on the ordinary person - real criminals were having a hey-day with drug money and so forth, were buying up real estate etc, and would one day be in politics, or at least their children would have the privileged life in all the good jobs and as our 'political leaders', while the Average Aussie was just scum to be exploited and live in a rented hovel.

Work out the figures on this guy's 'business' - you don't get that sort of money legit.... his Lidcombe development would be costing around $200k a month in interest repayments...

That should open your eyes to some realities about quite a few of your property moguls....

So you might say it's not the colour of the skin, but the other characteristics that piss people off.
For example, many abos have the same colour skin as mediterranean peoples, but nobody expects an Italian to to sniff paint and racially abuse people on public transport.
