Is Ozpolitic dying?

Can anybody recommend alternative active Australian discussion forums in case Ozpolitic dies?

The web site is behaving strangely today ignoring paragraphs and capitalizing some words in sentences. Actually this appears to have been caused by Google Chrome which was translating English into English. Now seems to have stopped translating.

You get .more activity when the political situation is more volatile.
Also people seem to be using member boards more which is a good thing.

Perhaps it is simply a symptom of the members living more...

OzPolitic is healthy, robust certainly not dying.  Like all public interests medium it will have highs and lows of activity.

The warm weather drives people out of their little winter cacoons and into the spring warmth.

Maybe they are actually getting away from the keyboards and doing, believe it or not, some physical activity that requires a little more than tapping key boards. ;)

I think you have been drinking from the bottle of utopian wine. One of the greatest discoveries of the internet was that once everyone now has a voice, we discover that so much of the clamour is exceedingly stupid, vile or both.

And yes, I was singling out Cods in my first line for her truly spectacular meltdown where she infers I am a paedo sympathiser all because I apparently dared to suggest that there might be a wide range of offences within that category. I am familiar with people who have trigger points/topics that can result in explosions of bad behaviour. However, it only explains it. It does not exclude it.

That said, I enjoy the nature of your posts. You have that rare ability to think, to argue, to debate and get to the crux of the matter. We should get a good thread going on a complex and controversial topic. First we will attract the simpletons and the ideogues, but if we can dig through the poo and vomit, there could be a good converstion going!

Horseshit.  It is there to ensure only those whom you regard as 'special' can have access to bag the crap out of those who cannot access it (including people like cods) or have been banned.  It is also used to post the personal/private details of those people.  For example, Agnes (in her various tags there.....all well known to you) has well over 300 posts, as does Lisa Jones and neither of them have the password to access it.  Oh, perhaps they were/are trolls.

That is not entirely true, but Monk (HBS GUY there) does make many Posts especially in the political area.  And, yeas, of course there are other Members.

That site is worthy of support.  Mine is as well, but it has less of a political leaning to it.

Lisa lost the privilege to access the members forum due to you hounding her for the password and info from the members only section until she gave in and shared what you wanted. I can post the PM evidence of you hounding her if you like?.......???

I got accused of pedophilia by IQ who used a photo of me he had found on AHB. That made it libel and of course I made moves to find out his details to sue the little sh1t.

IQ also hacked Skip’s account here, PA, my board and his Hotmail account.

1. Stalking and posting of personal details. SN actually used a photo of one of Aussie’s properties as his avatar. IQ searched and found those photos of me.

2. Three years of boring taunts that I bugger my dogs, my present terrier bitch and long dead, incinerated Tiffany my beautiful chihuahua

3. AiA posting all those PMs of Annie’s. Annie had never done AiA any wrong!

4. The libel of me as a pedophile.

5. The low grade political debate there, pathetic for a group of foul mouthed 10 year olds. Aussie has posted some of the foul language masquerading as political debate in the cesspit.

Insulting someone doesn't make it libel. You need to prove damage and lose. None in this case.

You should go the law or to a lawyer instead of being a one man vigilante. You were mistaken for DT and you tried to get someone sacked. Your response is not proportionate to the alleged offense.

You cannot justify disproportionate reponses, escalating the issue, not taking these to the law or seek redress through legal means if not acceptable. You cannot be trusted with any personal detail of anyone because you turn on everyone eventually.

And it is very unaustralian how you acted.
