Title: China expert faces trial over teen request
Post by easel on Oct 5th, 2015 at 1:26pm

Quote:
The former national president of the Australia China Business Council is about to face trial after he allegedly encouraged a teenager to commit an indecent act.

Duncan Harvey Calder is charged with procuring, inciting and encouraging a child aged over 13 and under 16 to do an indecent act, and seeking a prostitute in the view of a public place.

Calder was part of former prime minister Tony Abbott's trade delegation to China last year and has been out on bail on conditions including not going near Perth International Airport.

He formally pleaded not guilty in January and his trial begins later on Monday.

This also should not be in the media unless he is found guilty.

He has an extremely high profile. His role is to represent Australia in regards to engaging with China on issues relating to business and investment. He went on an official government trip.

His reputation is worth a lot to Australia.

If he has done this act, he was either acting to harm Australia and using his position as an act of sabotage, or someone is trying to harm your country and has lied.

And this should definitely not be in the media unless he is proven guilty.

The government broadcaster is damaging Australia's image.

Not that I'm complaining. Australia is imploding.
