Malodorous and the new NBN Co have signed up 67 subscribers to FTTN. Considering the scale of the work to be done that is nothing.

FTTN will allow a quicker and cheaper rollout of the National Broadband Network. NBN has estimated the cost of deploying FTTP in brownfields areas at $4400 per premise, compared to $2300 for FTTN. The technology is also more convenient for households and businesses because it doesn't require access to the end user's premises.

The $4400 is grossly inflated, it has had $700 OPEX added to it. Also those costs have excluded the time and cost savings proven in Project Fox.

A truer cost per premise for FTTH is 4400 - 700 x .6 = 3700 x .6 = $2,220.

The costs for FTTN are a guess, NBN Co does not have any idea of the state of the copper. It has already run out hundreds of kilometers of new copper.

The MTM is at best a sad joke and at worst: treason!
