Title: Tougher screening Bill pass in US
Post by Maqqa on Nov 20th, 2015 at 11:27am
The US just passed new laws to toughen up it's security screening of Syrians and Iraqis. Overwhelming majority for Democrats and Republicans

This means longer processing time for men, women and children. Whether these people are pregnant or claimed to be raped - you need to clear security checks first!!! Even if you claim to suffer mental breakdown in detention - tough. You need to clear security first

If it takes years then it takes years. I have empathy for asylum seekers. But I have no empathy for lefties who wants these people to bypass security screening

Good to see the rest of the world catching up and supporting the ideology of Howard and Abbott

Agreed. The safety of citizens who elected their governments comes first and foremost. That is, unless it's a Labor/Greens government as we saw over 6 disastrous years.

and who might those be? I don't think I've ever read anybody say they should bypass security checks.

Rudd went to the 2007 election saying he will close doing detention centres and abolish the Pacific Solution

The only way he can do that is to force the Immigration Department to relax its screening process or overlook it totally

How many supported Rudd in 2007?

The Greens do, or did. They want to fly them in in jumbo jets. Of course, when you ask HM out of the millions of refugees worldwide or what they will do when the number is reached you NEVER get an answer. Shows the “worth” of a Green policy.
