The case – which was put on hold by Judge de la Mata last year – was brought against the men following an attack by Israeli security forces against the Freedom Flotilla aid ships in 2010, which was trying to reach Gaza.

It concerns the Mavi Marmara ship, the main civilian vessel in a fleet of six that were attempting to break an Israeli blockade of the Gaza Strip. The six ships were carrying around 500 passengers, humanitarian aid and construction materials. The Israeli Defence Force stormed the ship in a raid that left nine human rights activists dead. A tenth activist died later that month due to wounds sustained in the raid.

That is correct.

Democracies do not do those things.

But every democracy does [and must as an existential requirement], have a functioning justice system.

And, at the heart of every functioning democracy, there must be, a functioning justice system.    [question; what is wrong with Australia, 2015 ? !!!!! ....and the answer is ?]

And ideally, a functioning justice system [within any functioning democracy] would seek to permanently remove persistent or violent criminals, from among its wider community of law abiding citizens.

Why so ?

1/ To protect the peace and the political stability of that democracy.

2/ So as to seek to protect its law abiding citizens, from 'the tender mercies' of those who have chosen, to behave in a violent and/or a criminal or lawless manner.

But it is, imo, very much a very foolish and dangerous thing [dangerous to the safety and liberty of all of the law abiding citizens],    ....to allow persistent or violent criminals to live among law abiding citizens !!

You also mentioned the word murder;
It is not 'murder', imo, for a democracy to lawfully kill murderers or wanna-be-murderers [in a lawful effort, to try to protect those citizens who are not murderers, from those who are].

You accuse Israelis of the actions of;
