Rudd vs Howard
The 2007 election was held on 4th November 2007. Nine months out from the election - Rudd overtakes Howard as preferred PM http://www.abc.net.au/news/2007-02-20/rudd-overtakes-howard-as-preferred-pm/2198484 A month out from the election Rudd was on 47% and Howard on 43% Fast forward to 2015 - 9 months out from an election where is Shorten? Does he even have 9 months left? |

Desperate !
As bad as shorten is, and yes he's bad, to try and use a poll 18 years as evidence to support this thread is downright stupid. |

It's best to stay quiet and have people think you are stupid rather than open your mouth and remove all doubt I was not aware the time difference between 2007 and 2015 was 18 years Howard was a very popular PM. It took a Herculean effort from the ALP to dislodge him. From a milestone point of view - Rudd overtook this popular PM 9 months out from an election. Malcolm is now a very popular PM at 65%. The gap is even wider between Malcolm and Bill |

Yup, Libs really, desperately want the ALP to swap Leaders. In a month or two, when the polls start again and with Malcolm’s honeymoon well and truly over we will see how the Parties fare.

The lack of any hint of leadership instability in the labor party seems to be really grating the libtards.

The Labor party is finished, it's just a race to the bottom now between the Libs and Labs. Their demise will probably lead to a Republic, but God help us if the obsolete Libs and Labs have anything to do with it

Shorten is running out of time
Probably is the equation in place. Is there enough time for the electorate to wake up to Turnbull before an election - or not ? It isn't really about Shorten at this stage. |

As I said - 9 months out from the 2007 election Rudd overtakes Howard as preferred PM
Shorten is heading South. He's gone from 15% to 14% |
Title: Re: Shorten is running out of time Post by Jovial Monk on Dec 8th, 2015 at 7:19am
A one point change is within margin of error.
The change in Malcolm’s rating is well above MoE. That is the significant development in this poll. |

heheheeheh - another thread to highlight the righties obsession with Shorten!
Shorten is in opposition, the Labor party can change leaders daily if they want. Remember the turmoil with Nelson, Turnbull,Abbott? Just be absolutely grateful that Shorten - as unpopular is he is - got rid of the most incompetent Coalition PM ever. Try to contain your admiration for him. |

Shorten won't be replaced. Rudd made it virtually impossible and the ALP also have no one to run against Turnbull at this time. Shorten is caretaker Opposition Leader until the looming election defeat at the hands of Turnbull in 2016, after which Shorten will stand down in order to let the party "regenerate" and plan ahead for the next election.
