Title: Liberals blocked info on companies paying zero tax
Post by Sun Tzu on Dec 19th, 2015 at 9:15pm
Liberals don't want the public to know their mates are getting away wit no tax.

http://www.dailymercury.com.au/news/liberals-tried-block-damning-tax-data-publication-/2877307/

Quote:
LABOR'S assistant treasury spokesman Andrew Leigh has described the release of the company tax data of some of the nation's highest-earning businesses as the sort of information the Liberal Party never wanted the public to see.

The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) has released a list showing that nearly 600 of the largest companies operating in Australia paid no tax in the 2013-14 financial year.

More than 1,500 companies with annual incomes of more than $100 million are on the list. The data was released under legislation passed by the previous Labor government.

"The Liberal Party voted against the tax transparency laws when Labor announced them in 2013 and then when they got into office they tried every excuse to wind them back including suggesting that this would lead to kidnap risk," Mr Leigh said.

"[That] explanation [was] described by a particular tax expert as the stupidest excuse for non-disclosure he'd ever heard.

The left's talking point is the LIBs didn't want it out. They are hoping to portray the LIBs are helping these public companies to hide their tax or somehow public exposure will shame the companies into paying more tax. Or exposure somehow forces the ATO to prosecute

Facts
(1) It's public company - you can't hide your tax
(2) There is no shame as the information is already public
(3) ATO & ASIC has the power to prosecute. Since the info is from the ATO they already know about it
(4) No one really forces the ATO to prosecute. They are there to audit as prosecute as they see fit

So the only ones excited about this are the uneducated leftards

The ATO are already onto these companies

Chances are the ATO are already investigating

Chances are the Accountants and lawyers for these companies have already covered their tracks e.g. Price Waterhouse and KPMG to name a few

When a corporation comes on our shores to suckle the milk and honey this land provides they become an Australian citizen and like all citizens it has duties and obligations, like for example paying their taxes and providing jobs which lift the standard of living for us all.

If they are going to come into our nation and not pay their taxes while bringing in foreign work forces that work dirt cheap and take Australian jobs, as far as I'm concerned they can all go and get f@rked.

Or if something is going to be built in Australia it shouldn't be sent off shore to low cost centres in India and China to be designed and built only to be brought back for installation.

This is also cheating us of jobs.

The Liberals are voting against the public release of private company tax data.

Public (listed on the stock exchange) company data is already a public record.  It's public so that prospective investors can choose whereto invest their money.

The ongoing leftard attack on the individual is really what this is about.  :(

This is how totalitarian regimes start.  Exploitation of minorities, restriction of free speech with political correctness and the casual invasion of your personal space with the nanny state.

Communism by stealth.  :(

You've just quoted the Fremason manifesto.
