Title: Time to muster the 3rd AIF
Post by Swagman on Dec 28th, 2015 at 10:23pm
Hasn't been mentioned from either side of mainstream politics.

No conscription, just volunteers, raise an army and deal with (dare I say it) 'the Baddies'.

We took on the Nazis & French Nazi collaborators in Nth Africa & Israel in WW2 and the Ottomans in WW1.

What's changed?

One will not beat these murderers with air strikes.  Boots on the ground is the only way.

Good call, Swag... get 'em moving...

An old Korean Vet once said to me that if Vietnam had been a call to arms instead of conscription for some, young men would have flocked to the colours as they always do....

Yes - the majority... but his point was still valid.... and there is little criticism of the Nasho community.. they performed well.  The thing is the government tried to keep it low key and quiet, as if it was just a small thing.  Had they made it a national request for men to come forward, they would have been swamped.
