Just ignore fools
Be nicer, smile and make eye contact within reason
Try and get through the Turnbull biography
Go more for gains than divs
The glass is half full and anxiety is the admission price to living

Stay away from the edibles.

Oh, and to be a worse person in 2016 than I was in 2015.

Yay! Go me.

I think you would enjoy it. Tom Waits gets a lot of talk time and rightly so. The documentary is focused on Richard's love of the Blues and not his pop career.

The Mechanic doesn't like Tom Waits.

No surprises there.

He's never heard of Motorhead or The Easybeats.

Surely we should post something to keep The Mechanic happy:

And I never got less than a 'D'.

What part don't you understand?

Do you know what a university is?
Bullcrap. That's not what you meant. You aren't a high achiever. You even believe there is 75 kiwis waiting to be deported. You even have faith in the union movement. How stupid is that!!

I meant exactly what I said.

"I never got anything less than a 'D' at uni".

Two BAs and a Masters, and never got anything less than a 'D'.

Did you pass year 10, Homo?
That's the weird thing about you, you profess to be a union lawyer but you are a snob. How many people do you represent who don't have a year 10 qualification. You must have disdain and lack of respect for these clients. It was funny reading you bag me out about factory work. Don't you represent these people snob?

Haha I should have made a new years resolution to quit smoking rather than to try to educate the left, that resolution would have been a lot easier to keep as I don't even smoke  ;D

I never got anything less than a 'D' at uni, and I always helped out my fellow students (especially the girls with cute little asses).
I thought they gave credits and distinctions at uni. You never went Pecca? Stop lying. The closest you got to uni was a pottery course at tafe.

Ooooh nice. Very nice indeed!

If I were you, I'd read a thesis or 2 at honours level covering those disciplines.

Then I'd read some at PhD level.

This ^^^^^ reading will give you more of an idea as to which area you will be more confident/competent in starting (& more importantly completing) your own original work.

Greg, your real problem seems to be this :

You're a perfectionist who wants to create a masterpiece. You can't start because you're too scared that you're not going to achieve that.

After you've read a few theses at various levels, you'll realize that the quality of a PhD isn't as high as it used to be lol. Hopefully that realization will encourage you to draft a plan to structure your thoughts/ideas.

Start the ball rolling by approaching your assigned supervisor at Uni. Make sure he/she is someone who is easy to talk to....otherwise forget it.

A thesis is just a big essay <---- your self talk.

My advice? Please don't waste time. Life is short. Just do it :)

I've never bagged out a high-school drop-out, or a factory worker.

If you can find a post where I have, I will apologise and retract the comment.
Living in a crappy western suburb of Sydney, working in a warehouse for $19 an hour, and dealing with illegal tree loppers and teenagers on trail bikes ripping up your verge - you call that life?

Remember now snob. And you call yourself a union man??? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I've never bagged out a high-school drop-out, or a factory worker.

Do you have anything that proves otherwise?
So people earning $19 an hour, living in a working class area have a crap life hey??

Some do, yes.

And I have sympathy for them.

Thankfully, I spend my days helping them.
It must be hard helping people you have no respect for. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

How have I helped you?

Homo is an Islamophobe.

He lives next door to a Muslim.

One day the Muslim cut off some tree branches, and threw them back into Homo's yard.

To make amends, he came over the next day with some goat meat.

Homo took the meat, but fed it to his dog.

He's not gonna eat any meat given to him by a Muslim.

A Pakistani bloke moved in next door and about a week later he came up whinging about fertilizer and a grape vine hanging over his fence. It pissed me off. It was a poor introduction to a new neighbour. Some time ago he bought over some goat meat in a white plastic bag at the end of their EID fasting. I tossed it because he's weird and I wasn't sure if he'd done something to it. And I guy riding around on a trail bike did a spin out on his lawn and he started asking the neighbours if they knew anything about it. The homo part is just Pecca being a homophobe. I should dob him in like he does to everybody else.

Yeah well your "king" died at the age of 27 from a drug overdose.

What a waste of life and talent.

What a waste of life and talent.

What is it with famous musos and their fixation with dying at the age of 27?

Anyone got a theory?

The 27 club is a mystery.

Kurt Cobain, Amy Winehouse ... so many.

I've almost double that age   :-/

37

I stayed in the hotel where he topped himself about 4 or 5 times before I knew what had happened.

When I found out, I never went back there.

Yep, I believe so.

A close muso friend of mine says she was horny, but not into much more than missionary.

I'd still hit it, though.

Serious?  Wow!

It's a great hotel, but I've never been back.

I usually go to the coffee shop across the road.
