Title: TURNBULL PUB TEST
Post by Merlin on Jan 6th, 2016 at 2:22pm
Does treacherous turncoat pass the pub test ? Take for

example the way this individual talks and behaves. Has

anyone ever heard another Aussie talk and act like this ???

This behaviour does not exist outside of the turnbull realm.

Anyone who is so weird could not possibly relate to the every

day issues confronting Australians. Someone so out of touch

should not be in the top job in the country!!!

Merlin is divorced from reality. Maybe his magic powers have gone and his sword is still stuck in a rock somewhere.

Does he want an Australian PM to talk like a wharfie? Or maybe like a non-English speaker from some god-forsaken third world garbage dump?

Mr Turnbull is a highly experienced lawyer & merchant banker who is used to speaking in an educated manner. How the fck do you expect him to talk?
He has got a temper and he can swear with the best - would you like him to do that on TV?

Not like a wharfie, just NORMAL. How stupid do you have to be not to take social cues and nuances from the society you represent ????? NOONE behaves like him, not lawyers, not bankers-NOONE. Its either stupidity on his part or arrogance that he thinks he is better than everyone, either quality should not be present in our PM.

It's certainly not Australian politics.

"The Constitution does not cover all aspects of the governance of Australia. For example, the Prime Minister and the Cabinet are not mentioned in the Constitution."

It astounds me how many people believe that nonsense.

I've mentioned this a few times before, however, I've met people who swear that when they went to vote they had "Beazley" and "Howard" on their ballot papers, or "Rudd" and "Abbott" etc.

Some people should never be allowed near a polling booth.

Regardless of weather its mentioned in the constitution or not, when people voted at the last election, they were voting for abbott, not treacherous turncoat. They expected abbott to be in their until the next election. Turncoat knows they would not have voted for a weirdo freak like himself, that's why he had to steal the job.

I just remembered another thing that happened, back when it was Beazley Vs Howard.

I was in Beazley's electorate, and queued up at the school waiting for the booth to open.

The couple in front of me had their 19 year old daughter with them, who was voting for the first time.

She pointed out that while Kim Beazley's name was on the how to vote cards, she didn't see John Howard's name on them (OK, she was only 19 - I can cut her some slack).

However, once she brought this to the attention of her parents they were at first mystified, and then horrified.

They assumed that Howard had been replaced overnight by Don Randall (the local Liberal candidate), and they were disgusted.

They had come to vote for Howard, and were outraged that that opportunity had been taken away from them.

I hope that girl moved out of home real quick - she had no chance with parents like that.

Regardless of what you guys think, MOST people care less about politics and only think about it as they are about to go and VOTE.

I asked a couple of young (in their late 30s) recently what they thought of Malcolm Turnbull and Bill Shorten and their look of complete astonishment was evident, they had no clue who these people were, obviously.

Then I said "who is the Prime Minister?" and one said "John Howard" and the other said "Tony Abbott".  I kid you not .... this is CANBERRA and the young people have no clue who the Federal Government is or what it does. Nor do they care, obviously.  Ask some people in your region the same question and see how many know.  NOT everyone over 15 watches the ABC News at 7 (or is it 7.30?)

Only the political tragics on OzPol care about politics. Most of us are more interested in CURRENT AFFAIRS (murders) and so forth.  ;)

Most of us are more interested in CURRENT AFFAIRS (murders) and so forth.  ;)

Why are you here then?  To dazzle us with your ...............  umm........

I could ask the same of you, you Old Fart. I can't recall you showing your REAL leftard colours in any POLITICAL topic.

Please NOTE the highlighted portion of my original post. Mr Magoo needs to seek out Spec Savers.  ;)

he was... by caucus as per the constitution.  simple really.

Nope.

There's no mention of the office of Prime Minister in the Constitution.

Regardless of weather its mentioned in the constitution or not, when people voted at the last election, they were voting for abbott, not treacherous turncoat. They expected abbott to be in their until the next election. Turncoat knows they would not have voted for a weirdo freak like himself, that's why he had to steal the job.

look merlin, ya big git!  it is what it is and your juvenile whining is getting old. go vote for Shorten if you want, but if you dont vote for the Libs then you lose the right to comment on liberal leadership.

grow up.

So you couldn't care less about the integrity of the liberal party ? You don't care if they are leftists as long as they are called the liberal party.

You hypocrite!  You should apologise to the entire forum for being exactly like Merlin for the past 5 years.  Now that it's happened on the liberal side you have miraculously seen the light.

Pathetic longie. Apologise.

You seem to have breached that same rule over Labor leadership about 200,000 times over the last 3 years ?

the point is that it has happened and we need to move on. given that the l.ibs have gone from 46/54 to 53/47  i find it hard to understand liberal supporters being angry still.  that time has been and gone.

the difference was that labor replaced Rudd when he was in the lead and replaced him with someone whose polls sunk continually throughout her reign.  like so many labor decisions, it was a bad one.

how you handling putin who despite russia's constitution having term limits simply ignores it and remains in power?

id you want undemocratic I suggest you look no further than russia.

Oooh so noooooow pms get elected by caucus.  Before you never seemed to think so. Hypocritical much?

Many are confused in the public arena by the belief that the people elect the PM.... one reason I'm a Republican.... but not Wee Johnnie's kind of 'republican'.... the Clayton's Republic...

I hope that girl moved out of home real quick - she had no chance with parents like that.

you have remember that all these years... and been waiting for this moment to tell everyone about it...

I've told the story several times.

It was quite a memorable experience, cods.

It's still hard to believe that there are adults out there, who have the right to vote, who are actually that ignorant of how our system of government "works".

Plus, I've always felt sorry for that poor young girl - she didn't stand much of a chance with parents like that.

Considering your knowledge (or lack thereof) of politics, I wouldn't be surprised if it was you behind me in that queue that day.

Some people should never be allowed anywhere near a ballot box, and that family are prime examples.

What's wrong with how he talks? Not enough "programmatic specificity"? Not enough "rat fvckers"? Not enough calling other world leaders "recalcitrant"? Not enough speeches on misogyny?
